MERITS OF THE BLOOD

The “empty tomb” (Matt. 28:1-7; Mark 16:1-8; Luke 24:1-12; John 20:1-10) is a reality, and the cornerstone of our faith. Without the empty tomb, all preaching would be a waste of time. Paul the apostle emphasizes this in I Corinthians 15. He explains who Christ is: How He died for our sins (I Cor.…

Pardners

"In the country of the open spaces a man must have sand.  Courage is the basis upon which the others virtues are built, the fundamental upon which he is most searchingly judged.  Let a man tell the truth, stick to his pal, and fight when trouble is forced on him, and he will do to ride the river with, in the phrase of the plains."

Spiritual Lessons From The American West

The Bad Guys - Wes Hardin

(Volume 28, April 2011)

John Wesley Hardin was born May 26, 1853, in Bonham, Texas. Though undocumented, rumor had it that he was so mean, he once shot a man for snoring.

John's father, James G. Hardin, was a circuit-riding Methodist preacher, as well as part-time lawyer and school teacher.…

Project Gunrunner: Killing Americans With Incompetence

If you do nothing else in your life, then let it be sharing this. Make this information go VIRAL!

Project Gunrunner.

If you’re not familiar with the term already, it’s a name every gun owner and freedom-lover should know.

Under the “Gunwalker” program the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (BATFE) has been knowingly funneling American guns into Mexico.

To make…

CARROTS not STICKS

Found this in my Bible study the other day...thought it was worth sharing.

CONSIDER THIS

As believers, we are called to proclaim the message of Christ to unbelievers in the best way we know how, being faithful to the truth. That’s really all that Peter did at Pentecost (Acts 2:14-36), but his speech produced dramatic results: the small band of Christ’s followers added 3,000 believers that day. (Acts 2:41)

In the same way, each of us needs to speak up as…

Aches of the Trail

Scars, decisions, failures, stumbling, the daily work of the job are all part of life.  The old wounds are there and man must live with them.  At times they still may ache, and the heart still feels it.  A glance in the mirror, the scar is seen, the memory returns.  There may even be once again the thought of remorse.

The aches come and I take some Advil, reach in the cabinet for the liniment, rub it on the aches, and hobble on, always forward.  Thank the good Lord for that…
