Act 12:7  Suddenly an angel of the Lord stood there, and a light shone in the cell. The angel shook Peter by the shoulder, woke him up, and said, "Hurry! Get up!" At once the chains fell off Peter's hands.

Eph 1:6  Let us praise God for his glorious grace, for the free gift he gave us in his dear Son!

Psa 61:1  (A psalm by David for the music leader. Use with stringed instruments.) Please listen, God, and answer my prayer!
Psa 61:2  I feel hopeless, and I cry out to you from a faraway land. Lead me to the mighty rock high above me.
Psa 61:3  You are a strong tower, where I am safe from my enemies.

Psa 26:8  I love the house where you live, O LORD, the place where your glory dwells.
Psa 26:9  Do not destroy me with the sinners; spare me from the fate of murderers---
Psa 26:10  those who do evil all the time and are always ready to take bribes.
Psa 26:11  As for me, I do what is right; be merciful to me and save me!
Psa 26:12  I am safe from all dangers; in the assembly of his people I praise the LORD.

JUST FOR TODAY: Stay in the word, listen to the Holy Spirit, and do your best to look at the world from God's perspective instead of your own. Let the Light of His presence so fully fill your mind that you look at the world and all the people in it from His view. Don't get bogged down with petty cares and frustrations. Life is too short to waste your time worrying about the little things. Stay focused on the Lord Jesus and your steps will be light and your heart filled with joy!! All of our troubles are "light and momentary" compared with the "eternal glory" of having a healthy, loving relationship with Jesus. (Proverbs 20:24, 2 Corinthians 4:17-18) ~Walker

Jdg 7:20   They all held the torches in their left hands, the trumpets in their right, and shouted, "A sword for the LORD and for Gideon!"

Note:  Great "Technology prayer service" last night @ COWBOY CHURCH.  We had a prayer meeting with Pastor John Bloch and Cross Community Church over 600 miles away.  (Cell phones and PA).  God is good!

JUST FOR TODAY: Look at it this way: the eye of the Lord is upon them that respect Him and are reverent toward Him. It is our hope in God's Mercy and protection that causes Him to keep an eye on us. He watches over us constantly and He will deliver our soul from death; He will keep us alive during times of famine and hard times. We must wait on the Lord because He is our help and our shield. We will surely rejoice in the Lord, because we have put our trust in His Holy Name!! Put your trust in anything else and your rejoicing will be very short lived or never come at all. (Psalm 33: 18-21) ~ Walker

Gal 5:1  Freedom is what we have---Christ has set us free! Stand, then, as free people, and do not allow yourselves to become slaves again.
Gal 5:2  Listen! I, Paul, tell you that if you allow yourselves to be circumcised, it means that Christ is of no use to you at all.
Gal 5:3  Once more I warn any man who allows himself to be circumcised that he is obliged to obey the whole Law.
Gal 5:4  Those of you who try to be put right with God by obeying the Law have cut yourselves off from Christ. You are outside God's grace.

JUST FOR TODAY: ....the earth is full of the goodness of the Lord!! By the word of the Lord were the heavens made; and all the host of them by the breath of his mouth. Let all the earth reverence and respect the Lord: let all the inhabitants of the world stand in awe of him. For when He spoke, it was done; He commanded, and it stood fast. Blessed is the nation whose God is the Lord; and the people whom he has chosen for his own inheritance. (Psalm 33:5,6,8,9,12) Are you standing in awe of God today or are you kicked back and taking Him for granted? Maybe we should not be so concerned with what we will inherit, but who will inherit us!! ~Walker

Gal 5:22  But the Spirit produces love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness,
Gal 5:23  humility, and self-control. There is no law against such things as these.
Gal 5:24  And those who belong to Christ Jesus have put to death their human nature with all its passions and desires.
Gal 5:25  The Spirit has given us life; he must also control our lives.
Gal 5:26  We must not be proud or irritate one another or be jealous of one another.

I've said the same my kids many times over the long years.  Jesus, having just come down the mountain after the transfiguration, must have quite literally thought, 'Back to the reality once more'.  Thank God that, even when He looks down on each of us today He may think the same thing. But He speaks in the same spirit and the same way as I did with my kids when they were young and Jesus did with the disciples on that day, He speaks with the deepest love for all of us in His heart.

Father God, be patient with me.  I stumble so often but you always shake your head, pick me up and put me back on the right trail once more.  Amen

Mar 9:19 Jesus said to them, "How unbelieving you people are! How long must I stay with you? How long do I have to put up with you?

2Pe 1:3  God's divine power has given us everything we need to live a truly religious life through our knowledge of the one who called us to share in his own glory and goodness.
2Pe 1:4  In this way he has given us the very great and precious gifts he promised, so that by means of these gifts you may escape from the destructive lust that is in the world, and may come to share the divine nature.

JUST FOR TODAY: Rejoice in the Lord always!!! I'm gonna say that again, "REJOICE"!! By your actions, let everyone know that you are a moderate person. You can be angry, but don't let it turn into wrath and don't hang on to it. You can be gentle and meek but that doesn't mean you have to let people run over you. You don't have to be radical about any situation or circumstance because the Lord is very close to you; "the Lord is at hand." (Philippians 3:21) Don't be full of care and worry about anything either. Just take all things to the Lord in prayer and ask him with thanksgiving to take care of all your concerns. This is when the Peace of God, that passes all understanding kicks in and God will keep your hearts and minds focused on Christ Jesus. If you want to keep your peace, then keep your focus!! (Philippians 4:4-7) ~Walker

Psa 112:6  A good person will never fail; he will always be remembered.
Psa 112:7  He is not afraid of receiving bad news; his faith is strong, and he trusts in the LORD.
Psa 112:8  He is not worried or afraid; he is certain to see his enemies defeated

JUST FOR TODAY: "...It is God which works in you both to will and to do of HIS good pleasure." (Philippians 2:13). Are you going to listen to His Holy Spirit today; will you line your will up with His and do the things that please Him? If so, then "do all things without murmurings (complaining) and dispute (argueing)". (2:14). This will prove that you are a true and sincere child of God, even in the middle of a "crooked and perverse nation", and that the light of God's Love will shine unto all people through YOU. (2:15). It is time for all Christians to be "holding forth the word of life". This doesn't mean we are to be preaching God's word; it means we are to be LIVING IT!!! (2:16). ~Walker

Psa 32:5  Then I confessed my sins to you; I did not conceal my wrongdoings. I decided to confess them to you, and you forgave all my sins.

JUST FOR TODAY: There was a time when I was a man of many sorrows. It seemed that no matter how hard I worked, nothing every seemed to ever really work out. Then one day when my life had fallen completely apart, I decided I needed to return to the God of my youth. When I put my Trust in Jesus, slowly but surely, my life began to turn around. The Lord's Mercy (favor) began to cover every area of my life. Now I am glad in a loving relationship with the Lord, and I rejoice to be a child of God. I shout for JOY today will all of you who have the Spirit of Jesus in your heart!! (Psalm 32: 10-11) The mercy of the Lord comes upon you in direct proportion to the amount of hope and trust you put in Him, AND there is no substitute for obedience. (Psalm 33:22) ~Walker

Psa 84:10  One day spent in your Temple is better than a thousand anywhere else; I would rather stand at the gate of the house of my God than live in the homes of the wicked.
