I was born and raised in a very small town in WV but it's growing we now have 2 stoplights. I was also raised and brought up on the old time mountain music (Bluegrass) and Baptist Hymns and there's nothing that seems to hit home more than hearing the old time gospel music sung in that familiar…Continue

We enjoyed a great time of music and fellowship Saturday at the ICCAN Roundup at Cornerstone Cowboy Church in New Iberia. It was good to see old friends and make new ones. That was mighty good gumbo too!!
I would like to invite you to hear music from my project "7," and watch the video "Jesus Is The Light of Lights":

I am proud and excited to announce that I have started Proverbs 24:3 Consulting.
We specialize in helping small church and church plants with the administrative side of church. Some of the services we offer are accounting and payroll.
As a pastor and church planter I know firsthand how difficult it can be to find an accounting program, website builder, and or hosting service and all the work it takes to update…Continue

Did you here about the man from the IRS who phoned a certain preacher to say, " We're checking the tax return of a member of your church. Mr. Smith lists a donation to your building fund of $5000.00 Is that correct?
The preacher answered without hesitation, "I haven't got my records available, but I'll promise you one thing: If he hasn't, he…Continue

"Woe unto them that call evil good and good evil; that put darkness for light and light for darkness; that put bitter for sweet and sweet for bitter!" (Isaiah 5:20 KJV)
As we celebrate this Sunday the sacrifice that Christ made on the cross, let us search our own hearts in repentence for allowing our churches, communities and once great Christian nation to fall so far and turn away from God and His Holy Inerrant Word. This nation is certainly doing what…

An elderly cowboy wrote to a mail- order house as follows: "Please send me one of the coal stoves you show on page 317 of your catalog, and if it's any good, then I'll send you a check." Soon he received this reply from the company, "Please send the check first, If it is any good, then we'll send the stove."

No man can see what a sinner he is, how infinitely short he has fallen of measuring up to God’s standards, until he has a clear sight of the exalted demands of God upon him! Just in proportion as preachers lower God’s standard of what He requires from every human being, to that extent will their hearers obtain an inadequate and…Continue

YOU ARE NOT AN ORPHAN!!
Its calving season for most of us and with this season it brings excitement and great expectations as the new calves arrive. There is nothing more joyful than seeing the new born calves gather in groups and run around, tails in the air with great joy!
With calving season there also comes the once and a while “orphaned bottle calf” situation. We have all experienced the “orphan” calf. Maybe a two yr. old heifer doesn’t…Continue

"A little boy who lived a sheltered life in the country came to town one Saturday with his mother and saw, for the first time, several bowlegged cowboys standing out in front of the general store. "Look at all those bowlegged cowboys!" the little boy exclaimed.
When he got home, his father punished him for the brash remarks concerning the cowboys by making him read Shakespeare one hour every day for the next several months.
When they returned to the little town months later, the…Continue
