Once my daughter was thrown from a horse during lessons as a child and I rushed over and carried her from the arena, she was shaken up but ok after a little pep talk from some of the other risers I helped her back in the saddle. Again I rushed over and picked him up and help him in my arms as I pulled briars out of his hair. Many times I’ve picked my…

Are you fearful or faithful...Are you withholding from being faithful with what God has given you? Are you afraid of the bad economy?
CONSIDER THIS...
God doesn’t need a healthy, normal womb for a woman to conceive and bear a child. In Judges 13:2-3 (conception and birth of Samson) the scripture says, “And there was a certain man of Zorah, of the family of the Danites, whose name was Manoah; and his wife was barren, and bare not. And the…

JUST FOR TODAY: Jesus said, "COME UNTO ME, AND I WILL GIVE YOU REST". Why do we need rest anyway? Because life can be very harsh and demanding in this old sinful world. Even the strongest of us get weak and weary at times so don't be…

How is it that someone can suppose to say “I serve Christ” and yet reject another Christ follower? How does a man stand behind a pulpit and teach the principles of the bible and create mischief and falsely accuse without regard? Some people are as stubborn as a Missouri mule about doing church work, but as sly as a fox in their own business deals; as busy as a bee in spreading the latest gossip, but as quiet as a mouse in spreading the gospel of Christ. Many are as blind as a bat to see the…

I was born again at the age of 5. at the age of 7, God told me I wouldn't die. I just laughed , since I knew everyone dies. A few years ago, He ask me what would happen to me If Jesus were to come in my life time. I realized what He was telling me. I Believe He will come in my life time. If you listen to any of the songs God has given me. Please remember what I have shared above. I was raised a Baptist Preacer's Kid ,signed with New York Yankees in 1962 and God gave me my first song in 1982.…

I went to church this Sunday
to sing, pray, worship and praise
At the end of the service a comittee broke out
They said when you come back again
Ask the Lord before you come in
If you should sing and sway whats that all about
Come back next week if it's church you seek
So off I went considering my song
Lord fill my heart make me strong
Next Sunday I went to church
To sing and pray this time to worship
Again I was told now…

The heart of Oklahoma is baking, but on the upside, besides issuing another heat advisory the Health Dept. says it is now safe to eat roadkill, as long it's been out there forty-five minutes.
The drought is so bad in Oklahoma, I heard that some Baptist are doin Baptisms by Sprinkling, The Methodist are usin…

What does the Bible say about moving on? Many times, because of loss in our lives, we have had events that affected our physical and psychological well being. The loss of a job, the breaking of a friendship, a couple breaks up, or a family argument causes a great divide between once close relationships. How do we cope with such loss?
Recently I was reading about dealing with loss in the work place. Today many Americans are out of work with no job prospects in sight. Having…

A mouse looked through the crack in the wall
to see the farmer and his wife open a package.
"What food might this contain?", the mouse wondered.
He was devastated to discover that it was a mouse trap.
Retreating to the farmyard, the mouse proclaimed this warning :"There is a mousetrap in the house! There is a mousetrap in the house!"The chicken clucked and scratched,…

An old Cherokee told his grandson, "My son, there's a battle between two wolves inside us all. One is Evil. It is anger, jealousy, greed, resentment, inferiority, lies, & ego. The other is Good. It is joy, peace, love, hope, humility, kindness, empathy, & truth." The boy thought about it & asked his grandfather, "Which wolf wins?" The old Cherokee quietly replied, "The one you feed."
