I wanted to share this story, in Oct of 2000 friday the 13 of all days I was on a flight from Houston Tx to St Louis, we got about 35 minutes north of Houston when their was a pop in the roof of the plane, i look  back and a lady said it was in the roof, just then the buzzers when off, the mask fell out of the ceiling and everyone was panic state, i was helping the people across from get their mask on when we took a nose dive, at a steep rate, i always carried a litte bible with me when i was traveling and reached for it, i was praying that we would be alright, just then a voice came on and said we would be emergery landing in little rock ark. the plane pulled up and we got to the ground, after we landed i look over at my right hand and i had hold of that little bible, my thumb was stuck on Psalms 34:4 i not going to tell u what the verse said, you have to look it up. When we in the airport i lead a prayer circle, never in my life have i done such a thing. I let that experince settle on my heart that winter and most of the summer, even went to my home church and told my pastor of the experiance, he said Jeff maybe you were call, i just laught at the fact, that fall i did my first church Cowboy Church Service in Carson Ia. at a Iowa High School Rodeo only 5 showed up that day, but it has growen and me as well to do God's work. I'm truly blessed, I have had so many things happen to me in my 52 year life, i was in an auto accident at the age of 19 Sept 11 1977, lost my right eye and broken up pretty bad, My dad took his life in 1988 at the age of 52. I believe all things happen for a reason and so I felt I needed to do more spirtualy, use the gift God has given me, i've never been to college, barley got out of high school but someone at a rodeo i was preaching at said, Jeff God doesnt call the qualified, he call's the qualified. that made cense to me. I preach at our home town church when the pastor is got, i do believe we all need to support the church, but also there is alot of people out there that we need to reach, so im doing my part in reaching out to others. thanks for listen, i join this group in hope of learning more, sharing idea, sharing sermon material, and sharing with others.
