1Pe 3:10 "For the person who wants to love life and see good days must keep his tongue from evil and his lips from speaking deceit.
1Pe 3:11 He must turn away from evil and do good. He must seek peace and pursue it.
1Pe 3:12 For the Lord watches the righteous, and he pays attention to their prayers. But the Lord opposes those who do wrong."

JUST FOR TODAY: Did you ever have to try and get a present for someone who has everything they need and want??  It's hard to do isn't it?  God is kind of like that; He already owns everything anyway.  What shall we "render unto the Lord for all His benefits" toward us??  The greatest gift you can give to God is simply to accept the most important gift that He has to offer you; that is to "take the cup of salvation" He has offered by the blood of His son and to "call upon the name" of His precious son, Jesus Christ.  The only Present that God ever really wanted was your Love.  Believe on John 3:16 and be saved today!!   ~Pastor Lynn  (Psalm 116:12-13)

JUST FOR TODAY: All things are possible with God.  It is always best to take the first step of crying out to God when trouble comes, but sometimes folks get so down they are too weak or mentally uncapable to quench the burning thoughts of suicide brought on by deep depression.  That is when God can answers the cries of help even before they are cried out; he is not limited by time or space.  Been there, done that.  It is always God's call one way or the other.  Maybe it's not our time; maybe God's not through with us yet; maybe God has some great future plans for our life?  Only God has the answer to these questions.  As for me, I am very thankful to be walking before God among the land of the living even though there was a time I was to dumb to cry out to Him!!!  GIVE HIM PRAISE!!!~Pastor Lynn  (Psalm 116:7-9)

JUST FOR TODAY: Depression.....the jaws of depression clamp down when the "pains of hell gat hold upon" you; it happens when you find more trouble and sorrow than your soul can deal with.  So what are you going to do??  Wallow in it....fill your vocabulary with the words "if" and "but" to justify it??  That won't help much.  The "fix" for depression is much more simple than you think: Call upon the name of the Lord; cry out, "O Lord, I beg you to deliver my soul!!".  Sound too easy??  Well, just remember that Jesus is gracious; He will show you favor when you don't deserve it, and He always does "the right thing".  When you are brought low, Jesus is ALWAYS there to help. (Psalm 116:3-6) ~ Pastor Lynn

1Pe 2:12

Your conduct among the heathen should be so good that when they accuse you of being evildoers, they will have to recognize your good deeds and so praise God on the Day of his coming.

JUST FOR TODAY: Jesus Loves you with an everlasting Love, which flows from the depths of Eternity!! Before you were born, He knew you. That sounds impossible because we are limited by the principles of time and space, but we must remember that jesus is not limited by anything and all things are possible with Him. Maybe we should stop and think about the fact that the Love of Jesus surrounds us from BEFORE we were born to BEYOND the grave. Take time today to be still and experience His Presence and His eternal Love. Our ultimate protection from the storms of life are developed during times such as these. (Jeremiah 31:3, Lamentations 3:22-26)  ~Pastor Lynn

Psa 107:5

They were hungry and thirsty and had given up all hope.

Psa 107:6

Then in their trouble they called to the LORD, and he saved them from their distress.

Psa 107:7

He led them by a straight road to a city where they could live.

Psa 107:8

They must thank the LORD for his constant love, for the wonderful things he did for them.

JUST FOR TODAY: Wouldn't it be nice if the Lord would hear our cries for help and answer back "here I am"; if only He would make our light to rise and shine out of obscurity; If He would make our darkness to be as bright as the noon day sun.  Then "draw out thy soul to the hungry, and satisfy the afflicted soul".  We reap what we sow.  If you want or need compasion from the Lord in your life, then you sure better be showing it to those around you. "And the Lord shall guide thee continually, and satisfy thy soul in drought, and make fat thy bones: and thou shalt be like a watered garden, and like a spring of water, whose waters fail not." JUST FOR TODAY: Many people sit in darkness today; some are sick and lay in the shadow of death; some are afflicted with the darkness of a prison cell. We bring much of what we suffer on ourselves because we rebel against the Words of God and we have contempt for "the counsel of the most High". Therefore we fall and there is sometimes no one to help. "Then they cried unto the Lord in their trouble, and He saved them out of their distresses". The Lord will bring you out of the darkness and the shadow of death, and He will break the bonds of the prison doors. "Oh that men would Praise the Lord for His goodness, and for his wonderful works to the children of men!" (Psalm 107:10-15) ~Pastor Lynn

JUST FOR TODAY: Do not even start to come before the Lord without being Thankful and always come to Him with Praise and Worship Him in Spirit and in Truth. Why should we be Thankful and Bless His name?? Because the Lord is good; His mercy is everlasting, it never ends; and His Truth endures to all generations. This is how we enjoy abundant life, by letting Praise and Thankfulness continually flow from our heart to His. (Psalm 100:4-5) ~Pastor Lynn

Zec 3:1  Then I saw Joshua the High Priest standing in the presence of the angel of the LORD, with Satan standing at his right to oppose him.
Zec 3:2  The LORD told Satan, "The LORD rebuke you, Satan—in fact, may the LORD who has chosen Jerusalem rebuke you! This man is a burning brand plucked from the fire, is he not?"

JUST FOR TODAY: With all the filth, worthless clutter, and downright evil in the path of our young people in todays society, how in the world can they hope to clear and cleanse their way to walk a path of decency and doing the right thing.  There is only one hope, and that is for young people to lift up every situation and circumstance to see if it lines up with the Word of God.  Do the young people in your life own Bibles?  Have they "hid the Word of God" in their hearts that they might not sin against Him?? (Psalm 119:9-11) ~Pastor Lynn

Ecc 9:10  Whatever the activity in which you engage, do it with all your ability, because there is no work, no planning, no learning, and no wisdom in the next world where you're going.

Pro 24:32 As I observed, I thought about it; I watched, and learned a lesson: Pro 24:33 "A little sleep! A little slumber! A little folding of my hands to rest!" Pro 24:34 Then your poverty will come upon you like a robber, your need like an armed bandit.

1Jn 1:5  This is the message that we have heard from him and declare to you: God is light, and in him there is no darkness—none at all!
1Jn 1:6  If we claim that we have fellowship with him but keep living in darkness, we are lying and not practicing the truth.
1Jn 1:7  But if we keep living in the light as he himself is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus his Son cleanses us from all sin.

Psa 100:1  A psalm of thanksgiving. Shout to the LORD all the earth!
Psa 100:2  Serve the LORD with joy. Come before him with a joyful shout!
Psa 100:3  Acknowledge that the LORD is God. He made us and we belong to him; we are his people and the sheep of his pasture.
Psa 100:4  Enter his gates with thanksgiving and his courts with praise. Thank him and bless his name,
Psa 100:5  for the LORD is good and his gracious love stands forever. His faithfulness remains from generation to generation.

JUST FOR TODAY: Jesus said unto his desciples, "Peace be unto you".  "But they were terrified and affrighted, and supposed that they had seen a spirit".  They missed the peace that Jesus plainly offered because of fear and doubt.  If only we could replace fear and doubt with Thankfulness and Faith, we would never miss another promise from God.  We all have problems in this life, but we must remember that Jesus always has a plan to take care of it if we will only be Thankful and Trust in Him.  Worship Him today with great Joy!!  (Luke 24:36-37, 52-53)  ~Pastor Lynn

Eph 4:29  Let no filthy talk be heard from your mouths, but only what is good for building up people and meeting the need of the moment. This way you will administer grace to those who hear you.
Eph 4:30  Do not grieve the Holy Spirit, by whom you were marked with a seal for the day of redemption.

"Gratitude is the inward feeling of kindness received.  Thankfulness is the natural impulse to express that feeling.  Thanksgiving is the following of that impulse."
               --Henry Van Dyke

"Gratitude unlocks the fullness of life.  It turns what we have into enough, and more.  It turns denial into acceptance, chaos to order, confusion to clarity.  It can turn a meal into a feast. a house into a home, a stranger into a friend.  Gratitude makes sense of our past, brings peace for today, and creates a vision for tomorrow."
               --Melody Beattie

Thank God with a grateful heart!  Give thanks to the holy One!  Just stop a moment and ponder His wondrous blessings.  Quit boo-hooing about the past; it is over and done.  If nothing else you have survived the trials of yesterday, and, hopefully you are a better or more knowledgeable person.
Thank God with a grateful heart!  Give thanks to the holy One!  You are alive and breathing today.  Maybe the step is not as quick as it one was, but God gives strength that is sufficient enough for the day.  Think about the opportunities that are yours today.  Gaining in knowledge, growing in grace and character, touching someone's life and being touched are just a few of the blessings that He will allow to flow to you today.
Thank God with a grateful heart for the hope of tomorrow.  There is no assurance that it will come, but the prospect is there.  Make plans, knowing that your steps are ordered by the Lord of Hosts and what comes your way is allowed by Him.  Do not anticipate the problems and cares of tomorrow.  They will arrive soon enough, however, when you wake up thank God for the opportunity to meet the challenges of the day.
Thank God with a grateful heart and keep your eyes on the Eastern skies.  My goodness with that is happening in the world:  wars, financial collapse, disasters; it seems like soon and very soon our redemption is drawing nigh.  Interesting the major two things facing the world is war in the Middle East and financial disaster.  Shades of the antichrist.  Hummm, give thanks with a grateful heart!  Give thanks to the holy One....
                                                        D. Adkisson

"Just as you received Christ Jesus as Lord, continue to live in him, rooted and built up in him, strengthened in the faith as you were taught, and overflowing with thankfulness."

LYNN, I WOULD LIKE TO SHARE SOMETHING THAT GOD DID FOR ME LATELY!!  I WAS DRIVING A CAR, THAT WAS LITERALLY FALLING APART.  I SAID" LORD I NEED A NEW CAR"  I HEARD HIS VOICE SPEAK WITHIN ME, AND HE SAID"GO GET IT"!  WELL I DIDN'T GO RIGHT THEN--AND I WAS DRIVING DOWN THE ROAD ANOTHER DAY, AND I SAID"LORD I NEED A NEW CAR"  I HEARD HIS VOICE ONCE AGAIN HE SAID "GO GET IT".  THIS WAS LAST THURSDAY, FRIDAY MORNING I FELT TO GO TO THE DEALERSHIP--KIA.  WHEN I GOT THERE THE VERY CAR, COLOR, AND EVERYTHING WAS SITTING THERE.  IT WAS NEW TO ME.  IT WAS A 2007 KIA SUV-SILVER, IN THE SPIRIT, I HAD ALREADY SEEN THIS VEHICLE SITTING IN FRONT OF MY DOOR.  THE SALES PERSON SAID "WOULD YOU LIKE TO DRIVE THIS VEHICLE HOME"?  I REPLIED "yES".  EVERYTHING FELL IN PLACE.  I AM A WIDOW, AND LIVE ON SOCIAL SECURITY, BUT I OBEY MY HUSBAND(JESUS CHRIST) AND HE THRU SOMEONE ELSE WILL PAY FOR THIS CAR, I AM NOT WORRIED IN THE LEAST.  MY CAR MADE THE DOWN PAYMENT, SO I DIDN'T HAVE TO COME UP WITH ANY MONEY, AND I KNOW HE WILL ALWAY'S COME TO MY RESCUE.  BOTH OF THE YOUNG MEN THAT I DUELT WITH WERE SEEKING GOD, I GOT TO WITNESS TO THEM, AND GOD SHOWED ME--ONE OF THEM WAS CALLED TO THE MINISTRY, AND ONE WAS GOING TO BE A COUNSELOR.  I HAD AN AMAZING DAY.  GOD'S BLESSINGS NELL
