JUST FOR TODAY: We have a new year!!! This will be a year of new challenges and new opportunities. Don't mess it up by clinging to old ways and bad habits. Come to the Lord Jesus with a teachable mind and a willingness to recieve the newness that He has to offer. This new year's journey requires being transformed by the renewing of your mind. Your circumstances will not change unless you change your mindset and let it be renewed by the Holy Spirit!! Romans 12:2 ~Pastor Lynn

2Ti 1:9 He saved us and called us to be his own people, not because of what we have done, but because of his own purpose and grace. He gave us this grace by means of Christ Jesus before the beginning of time,
2Ti 1:10 but now it has been revealed to us through the coming of our Savior, Christ Jesus. He has ended the power of death and through the gospel has revealed immortal life.

HAPPY NEW YEAR !

2Pe 3:8 But do not forget one thing, my dear friends! There is no difference in the Lord's sight between one day and a thousand years; to him the two are the same.

JUST FOR TODAY: "For I know the plans I have for you," declares the Lord, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future." ~Jeremiah 29:11  Do you believe God meant what he said in the words of this scripture??  Then look forward with great hope and expectations for the coming new year.  Walk in the light and the Peace of our Lord Jesus Christ and send Satan on down the road along with the worry and fear he intended to lay on you!!  Who has time for that??  ~Pastor Lynn

Jer 29:11 I alone know the plans I have for you, plans to bring you prosperity and not disaster, plans to bring about the future you hope for.
Jer 29:12 Then you will call to me. You will come and pray to me, and I will answer you.

A Cowboys Christmas Prayer

So here's ol' Christmas comin' on, remindin' us again
Of Him whose coming brought good will into the hearts of men
A cowboy ain't no preacher, Lord, but if you'll hear my prayer,
I'll ask as good as we have got for all men everywhere.
Don't let no hearts be bitter, Lord; don't let no child be cold.
Make easy beds for them that's sick, and them that's weak and old.
Let kindness bless the trail we ride, no matter what we're after,
And sorta keep us on Your side, in tears as well as laughter.

I've seen old cows a-starvin', and it ain't no happy sight;
Please don't leave no one hungry, Lord, on Thy good Christmas Night,
No man, no child, no woman, and no critter on four feet-
I'll aim to do my best to help You find 'em chuck to eat.

I'm just a sinful cowpoke, Lord -ain't got no business prayin' -
But still I hope You'll ketch a word or two what I am sayin'
We speak of Merry Christmas, Lord - I reckon You'll agree
There ain't no Merry Christmas for nobody that ain't free.
So one thing more I'll ask You, Lord, just help us what you can,
To save some seed for freedom for the future sons of man!

Isa 58:11 And I will always guide you and satisfy you with good things. I will keep you strong and well. You will be like a garden that has plenty of water, like a spring of water that never goes dry.

2Co 8:9 You know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ; rich as he was, he made himself poor for your sake, in order to make you rich by means of his poverty.

Isa 41:10 Do not be afraid---I am with you! I am your God---let nothing terrify you! I will make you strong and help you; I will protect you and save you.

2Sa 23:5 And that is how God will bless my descendants, because he has made an eternal covenant with me, an agreement that will not be broken, a promise that will not be changed. That is all I desire; that will be my victory, and God will surely bring it about.

"It is a good thing to give thanks unto the Lord, and to sing praises unto thy name, O most high: To shew forth thy loving kindness in the morning, and thy faithfulness every night, upon an instrument of ten strings, and upon the psaltery; upon the harp with a solemn sound. For thou, Lord, hast made me glad through thy work: I will triumph in the works of thy hands. O Lord, how great are thy works!! and thy thoughts are very deep." ~Psalm 92:1-5

Lord, please help me to speak pleasant words to my family, friends, and all those around me. Let me speak words that are sweet to the soul and bring health to those that hear me. Help me to preach the Gospel of Christ in this way and let the Power and Authority belong only to you. ~Pastor Lynn

"Pleasant words are as an honeycomb, sweet to the soul, and health to the bones." Proverbs 16:24

Rev 3:5 Those who win the victory will be clothed like this in white, and I will not remove their names from the book of the living. In the presence of my Father and of his angels I will declare openly that they belong to me.

JUST FOR TODAY: This nation has defiled the things of God too long and enough is enough. Don't you think that God must be really tired of being shoved in a dark corner and replaced with idols. Are there idols? Let's count just a few: money, jobs, sports, hobbies, media personalities, casinos, drugs, alchohol, pleasures of the flesh, and the list goes on and on of things that we put first in front of God. And even worse, we cover it up with indifference or flat out rebellion!! God says it's time to defile the covering up of our idol worship and cast it out like a filthy rag!! If we would say to our idols, "Get thee hence" and put God back where He belongs (in front of every thing else), we would see prosperity come like never before and the Lord would "bindeth up the breach of His people, and healeth the stroke of their wound." ( Isaiah 30:22-26) ~Pastor Lynn
