Ain't it great to be able to move around, go from place to place and take in all the wonderful things and places that the Lord has provided for us!!! Ain't it GREAT to be who you are, knowing that there is NO one else anywhere in the world before, now, or in the future that is just like you!!! "In Him we live, and move, and have our being" (Acts 17:28) Have a GREAT day!!! ~Pastor Lynn

Daniel 2:28
"But there is a God in heaven that revealeth secrets,,,"

Things that are impossible, to us
To think or ever know
He knows all about them
And has them in control

He sets up kings and brings them down
And when it's all said and done
We'll understand and see the wisdom
Of the movement of every man

JUST FOR TODAY: "For we all must appear before the judgement seat of Christ" (2 Corinthians 5:10) How do you feel when you read this scripture? Are you looking forward to the day that you stand before Christ or does the thought of Standing before Him make you somewhat uneasy  or even scare the daylights out of you? If you will right here and now repent and learn to live under His pure light, your final judgement will bring only delight in seeing what God has done in your life. It is good to remind yourself of the judgement seat of Christ and then live your life according to the holiness He gives you when you are "born again". It is His holiness in you, not your own, that will make this a Joyful occasion. Walk in the Light and Spirit of His Love and fear not. ~Pastor Lynn

Jeremiah 51:36
"Therefore thus saith the Lord; Behold, I will plead thy cause, and take vengeance for thee;..."

We need not avenge ourselves
For we have an avenger
His name is Jesus Christ
This we should remember

Vengeance is mine, thus saith the Lord
He will repay in due season
And when the wicked wonder why
He will remind them of the reason

Jeremiah 10:12
"He hath made the earth by his power, he hath established the world by his wisdom, and hath stretched out the heavens by his discretion."

If you think the Lord
Cannot solve your problem
Read this little verse
Then tell him why he can't solve them

If we just take a moment to consider
What the Lord has already done
We'll see that no blessing will he withhold
Since he did not withhold his Son

FROM THE PASTOR'S PORCH: How much does it cost??

I pulled up to the gas pump to see “how much does it cost?” and I sure didn't like the answer. Was it worth it? Well, I guess it was because I bought $50 worth and got a half a tank. My old dodge pickup won't run without it and I didn't want to walk. Then my wife sent me to pick up some cucumbers for her so she could make some of her famous “Hot Pickles”. So I go to the grocery store and find these little pickling cucumbers. Of course I pick up one of the nicely shrink wrapped packages with six little cucumbers in it and look to see “how much does it cost”?? Are you kidding me?? $3.58 FOR SIX LITTLE CUCUMBERS!!! I can buy a whole jar of pickles for three bucks!! Were they worth it?? Probably not, but my wife told me to get them and her “hot pickles” are awfully good. So I buy about $17 worth of cucumbers to make a few jars of delicious homemade pickles. I knew they were not worth it, but then again, you ain't tasted how good Casey's “hot pickles” are either.

Well, I had enough gasoline to make it home and now I'm eating one of Casey's “hot pickles” with a Turkey sandwich. I got to thinking about John 3:16 and I wrote the following post on facebook: “JUST FOR TODAY: "God so Loved the World that he GAVE..." (John 3:16). If you want to know what surrender means, read John 3:16 and understand it's about Giving; not just a little, but everything. John 3:16 is about God's total surrender to us. Don't even talk about surrender if you don't understand John 3:16. When you do, then surrender yourself to God in the same way He gave himself for YOU.....totally, unconditionally , and without reservation”.

How much did it cost God? EVERYTHING!! Were we worth it?? Probably not, BUT aren't you thankful that God thought so?? So what's the flip side to this. What does God expect from you in this Love Relationship; how much does it cost. I think you know the answer. EVERYTHING!!! Is it worth it? I think that you know the answer to that too. God gave His ALL for us and that is what He expects from us as well. Nothing but the complete surrender of ALL not part of yourself is what it takes to satisfy the Love Relationship with God. Very costly, but nothing compared to what what is saved. I see it even more than just saving something that I already have (my own life), but also it is nothing compared to what you'll GAIN!! When you give yourself completely to God and join Him in his work of redeeming mankind, you not only save your own soul but look at all the other lives around you that will be touched and SAVED because of your Love Relationship with God. Have you ever thought about how many folks will be your neigbors in Heaven....for eternity..... because they saw Jesus in a completely sold out Love Relationship with YOU??? Yes, being a true servant of God will cost you everything and is it worth it? Well let's see; God gave us His all and in return we give Him our all. I can't help but think that we're getting way the best end of that deal. Thank you Jesus, ~Pastor Lynn

I dreamed dreams of preaching years ago when I was a young man but ignored that vision for a long time.  I am so glad that God was patient with me and has "restored the years that the locust have eaten".  If God has given you a vision, step on in to it NOW!!  You will suffer many difficult times and miss out on many of God's blessings if you don't.  ~Walker

JUST FOR TODAY: Your life is what it is because of what dominates and controls you, and you are responsible for having yielded yourself to whatever that may be. If you are a slave to yourself, you are to blame because at some point in time you yielded to yourself. Same is true with God, at some point in time you yielded yourself to Him. If your life is a mess, could be you made a wrong choice about who you decided to let run it. Yielding to jesus will break every kind of bond and slavery in a person's life. "You are one's slave whom you obey" (Romans 6:16) ~Pastor Lynn

"...They shall cry unto the Lord because of the oppressors, and he shall send them a saviour, and a great one, and he shall deliver them."

Is something oppressing you
A person, place or thing
Take it to the Lord
He's ruler over everything

His name is above sickness
His name is above drink
His name is above drugs
Or anything you can think

Proverbs 14:12
"There is a way which seemeth right unto a man, but the end thereof are the ways of death."

Many things look logical
Many things sound right
But if you really want the truth
You must ask God for insight

For many things glitter
That are not true gold
In order to find our way
We must follow the paths of old

Psalm 5:12
"For thou, Lord, will bless the righteouss; with favor wilt thou compass him as with a shield."

When People give you favor
And like you quite well
Give you special privileges
More than you can tell

You need to look beyond yourself
And know it is not you
It is God almighty
Who is blessing all you do

JUST FOR TODAY: TWH...don't leave home without it. No, this is not a new diatary supplement or the name of a new airline. TWH stands for the three elements that make up a strong chain that will keep you connected to Jesus. T stands for TRUST, and it is the strongest link in the chain because that is what God desires most from His children; to Trust Him. The W and the H stand for WAITING AND HOPING; they both are links that help to strengthen the chain; Waiting for the Lord to work in your life while you Hope with your eyes on Him is evidence that you really do Trust Him. Trusting, Waiting, and Hoping will bring you into the Presence of Jesus. Sometimes the little things are the most important, so pay attention today and don't miss out on anything He brings into your life (John 14:1 Psalm 27:14 Hebrews 6:18-20). ~Pastor Lynn

JUST FOR TODAY: You will never accomplish God's purposes using YOUR strength. You will also never know the thrill of seeing God work through you if you choose the "safe" life working under your own Power. These are the reasons that God instructs us to "WALK BY FAITH, NOT BY SIGHT". As you take steps of Faith, depending on the Lord, He will show you how much He can do for you and through you. We must always remember that the issue is not our strength, but HIS!!!  You CAN live beyond your own natural ability and strength when you Walk in Faith. How can this be?? Because the Lord Jesus will empower you with His Holy Spirit to accomplish HIS Purposes in and through you (2 Corinthians 5:7). ~Pastor Lynn

Matthew 6:31
"Therefore take no thought, saying what shall we eat? Or, What shall we drink? Or, Wherewithal shall we be clothed?"

Worry not for your daily needs
Because your Father sees
Exactly what you have need of
And intends to meet your needs

He will provide your food
And he will provide your drink
So seek ye first the kingdom
And on him often think

JUST FOR TODAY: This is the day that the Lord has made!! And He has prepared it with tender concern for all of your needs. So, don't look at today like it's a blank page that you have to fill up. Instead, be in a responsive position to what God is doing in your life and walk with HIM!! This will require TRUST on your part brought about by knowing that His way is perfect and even if you falter on today's journey, He will never, NEVER let go of your hand!! Please realize today how utterly secure you are when your life is in the hands of Jesus (Psalm 18:30 & 37:23-24). ~Pastor Lynn

Matthew 6:24
"No man can serve two masters; for either he will hate the one, and love the other; or else he will hold to the one, and despise the other, Ye cannot serve God and mammon."

We cannot serve God
And also serve our dollars
No matter what false teachers say
Or all those professing scholars

Many have gone the way of Balaam
And sold out for treasure
It will not be worth the cost
When eternity they begin to measure

The secret to walking with Jesus is to nod your head in commitment and then show no concern for the uncertainties that lie ahead when the chute opens!! Never try to live your life with God in any other way than being totally commited to HIS way, and HIS way means absolute devotion to Him. ~Walker

Matthew 6:16
"Moreover when ye fast, be not, as the hyporcrites, of a sad countenance; for they disfigure their faces, that they may appear unto men to fast, Verily I say unto you, They have their reward"

Fast not to be seen of men
But to be seen of your Father
Who from heaven will reward you
And promote you like no other

Men can give a small reward
But God's reward is forever
Eternity is a long time
Lastng forever and ever

JUST FOR TODAY: To become a Christian is real easy. All you have to do is be willing to surrender your whole way of looking at things. Being "Born Again" is to be made ALL new. You can't hold on to something NEW if don't don't turn loose of the OLD. If you are facing the crisis of whether you want to do this or not, I encourage you to make the right decision. Step on in to an eternal relationship with Jesus and be DETERMINED to SURRENDER all that you have and all that you are to HIM. God will then begin to equip you to do all that He requires of you.  Well, maybe it's not all that easy, but it is simple and the "new" life is worth far more than the "old" life if you turn it loose. ~Pastor Lynn (Galations 2:20)
