Apples of Gold, a devotional in Rhyme
September 1
Zechariah 4:10
""For who hath despised the day of small things?
Don't despise the day
Of your small beginnings
For God to give you
A great and glorious ending
So take those baby steps
All that you can take
For giant leaps of faith
They shall someday make
Joh 18:19 The high priest questioned Jesus about his followers and his teaching.
Joh 18:20 But Jesus told him, "I have spoken freely in front of everyone. And I have always taught in our meeting places and in the temple, where all of our people come together. I have not said anything in secret.
Joh 15:25 That is why the Scriptures are true when they say, "People hated me for no reason."
Joh 15:26 I will send you the Spirit who comes from the Father and shows what is true. The Spirit will help you and will tell you about me.
Joh 15:27 Then you will also tell others about me, because you have been with me from the beginning.

Zechariah 4:7
"Who art thou, O great mountain? Before Zerubabel thou shalt become a plain."
Wo is your mountain
What is his name
He shall before you
Truly become a plain
When God knocks them down
They won't be getting up
He will cause them to disappear
And with blessings, fill your cup

Zechariah 2:8
"...he that toucheth you toucheth the apple of his eye."
God holds you
As the apples of his eye
His great love and mercy
No man can deny
Those who do you wrong
Have wronged your heavenly Father
God will repay your enemies
And you won't have to bother

"The great day of the Lord is near, it is near; and hasteth greatly..."
The day of the Lord is near
Nearer than it's ever been
We must seek forgiveness now
To get victory over sin
There will be no warning
Before the trumpet sounds
So be prepared my brother
For your feet to leave the ground
Joh 15:9 I have loved you, just as my Father has loved me. So remain faithful to my love for you.
Joh 14:31 but the world must know that I love the Father; that is why I do everything as he commands me. "Come, let us go from this place.

Zephaniah 2:3
"Seek ye the Lord, all ye meek of the earth, which have wrought his judgment; seek righteousness, seek meekness, it may be ye shall be hid in the day of he Lord's anger."
We need to seek the Lord
To escape this worlds danger
And continue to seek him
To escape the Lord's anger
For there is coming a day
When his wrath will be known
I thank God for the day
The escape hatch, I was shown
Num 14:11 "How much longer will these people reject me? How much longer will they refuse to trust in me,

Zephaniah 1:12
"...I will search Jerusalem with candles, and punish the men that are settled on their lees;"
The Lord has come to search us
To see if we're content
Rich and in need of nothing
And all our efforts spent
We feel no need to fight
We feel no need to preach
For we are happy now
Thnking we are out of harms reach
Psa 111:9 He set his people free and made an eternal covenant with them. Holy and mighty is he!

John 9:35
"...Doest thou believe on the Son of God?"
Do you believe
In the Son of God
If you answered yes
Golden streets, one day you will trod
He's waiting for your answer
So don't turn away
For the day of salvation
Yes, it is today

John 8:32
"And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free."
When you know the truth
It will surely set you free
And bring you to a place
Where His glory you can see
So seek the truth as silver
Search for it as gold
For what you will get when you find it
The half has not been told
Act 8:37 And Philip said, If thou believest with all thine heart, thou mayest. And he answered and said, I believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God.

John 8:10-11
"....Woman, where are those thine accusers? Hath no man condemned thee? She said, No man, Lord, and Jesus said unto her; Neither do I condemn thee: go, and sin no more."
The Lord came not to condemn
But to seek and to save
So let Him be your portion
And His word the thing you crave
Turn not to the left
Turn not to the right
Seek Him every morning
Seek Him with all your might
Eph 3:17 and I pray that Christ will make his home in your hearts through faith. I pray that you may have your roots and foundation in love, Eph 3:18 so that you, together with all God's people, may have the power to understand how broad and long, how high and deep, is Christ's love.

John 8:7
"...He that is without sin among you, let him first cast a stone at her."
Be slow to judge your brother
When a sin, he does commit
For a glance in the mirror
Might be where judgement fits
We've all fallen short
According to the word
So pray for your brother
Until your prayer is heard
Eph 3:8 I am less than the least of all God's people; yet God gave me this privilege of taking to the Gentiles the Good News about the infinite riches of Christ,
Our God is a God who Heals. He heals broken bodies, broken minds, broken hearts. Broken lives, and broken relationships. His very Presence has immense healing powers. You cannot live close to Him without experiencing some degree of healing. However, it is also true that you have not because you ask not. You receive the healing that flows naturally from His Presence, whether you seek it or not. But there is more-much more-available to those who ask.
The first step in receiving healing is to live ever so close to God’s will. The benefits of this practice are too numerous to list. As you grow more and more intimate with God, he reveals His will to you more directly. When the time is right, God will prompt you to ask for healing of some brokenness in you or in another person. The healing may be instantaneous, or it may be a process. That is up to God. Your part is to trust God fully and to thank God for the restoration that has begun.
He rarely heals all the brokenness in a person’s life. Even His servant Paul was told, “My grace is sufficient for you,” when he sought healing for the thorn in his flesh. Nonetheless, much healing is available to those whose lives are intimately interwoven with God’s. Ask, and you will receive.
