An industrious turkey farmer was always experimenting with breeding to perfect a better turkey. His family was fond of the leg portion for dinner and there were never enough legs for everyone. After many frustrating attempts,the farmer was relating the results of his efforts to his friends at the general store get together. "Well I finally did it! I bred a turkey that has 6 legs!" They all asked the farmer how it tasted. "I don't know said the farmer. "I haven't been able catch em !!

Here at Mike Vaughn Ministries-Our thoughts and prayers go out to Pastor Andy Starks and family for the loss of his dear wife Femmie. May God grant you His peace during this difficult time.

As we approach Thanksgiving Day we thank our heavenly Father for His bountiful blessings upon our Nation and families. Barbara and I wish all our ICCAN family and friends a blessed Thanksgiving Day. May God's presence fill your hearts and homes abundantly. Shalom {Peace}

Three Men were arguing over which profession was the oldest. Said the Surgeon: "The Bible says Eve was made by carving a rib out of Adam. I guess that makes mine the oldest profession," Not at all, "said the engineer. "In six days the earth was created out of chaos and that was an engineer's job." Said the politician: "Yes, but who created the chaos?"

A pastor was invited to lunch one day at the home of a well-to-do church member. To the pastor's surprise and that of his host, there was no knife fork or spoon at the pastor's plate.

The wife asked her young daughter why she had not placed any silverware at the pastor's place. "Oh,he doesn't need any," she answered.…

"Why don't you give God the reins. He can do a better job of running your life than you can."

It's been said that; "The best way for the typical American family to get to know one another better is for the TV set to break down." I guess nowday's that should include the I-phone.

There was a farmer that always used scripture to justify his deeds. One day a horse trader came through the country and the farmer traded him a horse that had hives. After the trader went on his way, the wife asked her husband, Now, I know you always find scripture to justify what you do. Just what scripture will you use to justify trading that sick horse to that…

As we are busy with our holiday activities let's be sensitive to the Holy Spirit, for opportunities to share the Gospel to others. Most people are open to the Gospel  this time of year more than any other time. The fact is,there are lost and hurting people all around us and you and I know that Jesus is the reason for the season. He is our Hope and Joy. Make a difference in someones life. Let your light shine brightly this Christmas season.

We enjoyed a great time of music and fellowship Saturday at the ICCAN Roundup at Cornerstone Cowboy Church in New Iberia. It was good to see old friends and make new ones. That was mighty good gumbo too!!
