YOU ARE NOT AN ORPHAN!!
Its calving season for most of us and with this season it brings excitement and great expectations as the new calves arrive. There is nothing more joyful than seeing the new born calves gather in groups and run around, tails in the air with great joy!
With calving season there also comes the once and a while “orphaned bottle calf” situation. We have all experienced the “orphan” calf. Maybe a two yr. old heifer doesn’t…Continue

LIVING WITH THE FULL MESSAGE OF GOOD NEWS.
Donn Jibben 4-18-14
We’ve all had those days, a day in which we received some bad news. The news was probably hard to swallow at the time. You may have most likely stood in disbelief before your emotions, pain and shock set in. Most of us had endured this scene and picture in many areas of our ranching lives. Life sometimes just doesn’t seem to be fair!
In contrast to this…Continue

HOPE THROUGH TRIALS
Most of us as ranchers and farmers have all gone through them – trials of many kinds. If you haven’t, get ready cause one or more maybe just around the corner. Like me, I am sure you probably have seen your share of trials. As I look back in the rear view mirror I can see them plainly. Droughts, floods, blizzards, sub-zero temperatures, early frost, low…Continue

THE VALUE OF YOU!
As cattle ranchers and exhibitors we all know the value of good seedstock. For us, understanding and seeing the value of the DNA and the characteristic traits of good seedstock simply seems to come natural to all of us. It’s like a natural gift from God isn’t it?
But unlike our seedstock, we as human beings have been…Continue

I once heard these words spoken by a friend, “if you’re too much of a man to cry than you’re not man enough.” I have come to learn in life that this statement is true.
As I look back in my life, I have to say that I have cried a lot. I’ve always cried when I pulled and delivered a dead calf. I cried when my foal didn’t make it through delivery alive. I named him “Lightning” born during an early spring storm. I’ve cried and wiped tears from my eyes during my children’s…Continue

“There is a time for everything and a season for every activity under heaven”, Ecclesiastes. 3:1
Solomon shares some great insight into the truth that God truly is sovereign and has plans, purposes and activities for every person that he has created. Those sovereign plans are not to harm us but are plans of hope and a future, Jer. 29:10-11.
We must realize however that those plans will include different seasons that we…Continue

YOU’RE EXODUS “WORSHIP” STORY
Most of us are all pretty familiar with the Exodus story. The incredible story includes Moses, Aaron, the Israelite people, Pharaoh, the Egyptian people and the plagues of judgment from God. It is a powerful story of God’s deliverance of the Israelites from bondage and slavery, from darkness to light, from Egypt unto Himself.
The Exodus story is also a story of “Worship.” Worship is a…Continue
