Remember how it used to be?
Thanksgiving with the family...
Turkey, dressing, maybe ham,
vegetables and candied yams.
Waldorf salad, homemade rye,
mashed potatoes, pumpkin pie.
You'd drink a toast and say a prayer
of thanks for all who'd gathered there.
Remember how it used to be?
Now look around at what's to see;
the dark and stark reality.
Can you improve their memories?
For what you have and how you're living,
you…

I woke up this morning and knew that today,
The sun would not be shining
and the clouds would be gray.
As I stepped outside,
Rain fell upon my head.
My car wouldn't start
so I walked to school instead.
I forgot all of my assignments
I failed all of my tests.
I dropped my head in disgust
and asked the Lord for one request.
'Lord, why is it that
things won't go my way?'
He gently replied,
'Dear child…

Be still for a while & praise God for His favor, His grace and His awesomeness. God is able to do the impossible and is always near. He loves you unconditionally. Women of God praise Him with your voice in this hour!! All women say this prayer during this hour one for another:
Dear God, I pray for my sisters in Christ whom I love and this is my prayer for them. Help my sisters in Christ & me to live our lives to the fullest. Please cause my…

Why Should We Be Thankful for God’s Goodness to America?
(2 Corinthians 9:11)
11: Being enriched in everything to all bountifulness, which causeth through us thanksgiving to God (King James Version – KJV).
11: You will be made rich in every respect so you may be able to give generously [†when a need arises]. And your generosity, as administered through us [to the…

By Faith, Not Feelings
I shall not die, I can, I do, believe in the LORD my God, and this faith will keep me alive.
I would be numbered among those who in their lives are just; but even if I were perfect I would not try to live by my righteousness;
I would cling to the work of the LORD Jesus and still live by faith in Him and by nothing else. If I were able to give my body to be burned for my LORD Jesus, yet I would not trust in my own courage and constancy, but…

David gives us a clear picture of Jesus’ attitude in the face of the coming
storm. He speaks prophetically of Christ, saying, “I foresaw the Lord always
before my face, for he is on my right hand, that I should not be moved” (Acts
2:25). The literal meaning here is, “I was always in his presence, beholding
his face.” David quoted Jesus as saying, “Therefore did my heart rejoice,
and my tongue was glad; moreover also my flesh shall rest in hope” (2:26).
Here…

Cowboy Joe was telling his fellow cowboys back on the ranch about his first visit to a big-city church.
"When I got there, they had me park my old truck in the corral," Joe began.
"You mean the parking lot," interrupted Charlie, a more worldly fellow.
"I walked up the trail to the door," Joe continued.
"The sidewalk to the door," Charlie corrected him.
"Inside the door, I was met by this dude," Joe went on.
"That would be the…

A new Pastor in a small Oklahoma town spent the first four days making personal visits to each of the members, inviting them to come to his first services.
The following Sunday the church was all but empty. Accordingly, the Pastor placed a notice in the local newspapers, stating that, because the…

Are you going through a hard time? Maybe you recently lost your job, or you’re dealing with a death in your family. Or maybe you’re just not sure anything good in life can happen to you. Whatever you’re dealing with, I want you to know that you’re not alone and something good can come from the tough spot you’re in right now. God promised.
Jesus experienced hard times too…the road to the cross was no small matter. But He had to decide to go through it. He even asked God if it was…

JUST FOR TODAY: God designed us to live in close communion with Him. Come to the Lord Jesus and rest in His peace. We are constantly seeking the hand of God, but for His Peace, we must seek His FACE! That is when the shining rays of His Peace that "passes all understanding" come into our lives. We will never have all the answers, but we can relax in the Presence of the one who does. Would you like to feel Peaceful and…
