From our youth leader to you'all.
Dear pastor/church leader:
As a member of the Advisory Board of Ranch Good Days, allow me to introduce myself. My name is Raney Finto and I currently serve as the youth leader at Country Worship Cowboy Church.
Ranch Good Days is a ministry that has been in our area for the past 16+ months. I have enclosed its mission statement and information.
Allow me, in my own words, from my own experience by my association with the Ranch, to relate to you its ministry, focus, and purpose. Ranch Good Days accepts young women 12-21 whose lives have been tragically impacted by drugs, alcohol, sex, and violence. The Ranch, in a faith-based approach, aided by equestrian therapy, brings into their lives stability, a sense of worth, and life-coping skills, which redirects them onto a healing path of recovery.
First and foremost, we covet your prayers. Secondly, I ask for an opportunity for me, or another Ranch affiliate to come and give a brief summary of the life-changing opportunities these young women are exposed to in their time at the Ranch. We are looking for “Ranch Partners” to come along-side of us in this endeavor.
Up until now, these teens have been throw-a-ways. Please consider the words of Jesus in Mark 9:37: “Whoever welcomes one of these little children in my name welcomes me; and whoever welcomes me does not welcome me but the one who sent me.”
In His love,
Raney Finto

Ranch Good Days Mission Statement:
To provide a safe, Christ-centered, nurturing environment where at-risk teenaged girls can grow to be happy, productive and principled adults; and, who will learn share of self with the less fortunate to enrich the spirit of all concerned.
Our Vision is to meet the educational needs of teen girls residing in a Ranch Good Days therapeutic home. Residents in our home attend both public and private home school with Dr. Donna Otabachian, who holds a doctorate in Education Administration from SUNY Buffalo. Our program is designed to help girls not needing treatment in full time hospital care, nor have they been adjudicated and require restrictive care. They are the group of girls that have endured bad things happening to them. We work closely with agencies that need a place for at-risk avoidance or a step down center for re-habilitation.
What We Do - Past
Founded in 2003, Ranch Good Days, a Colorado non-profit corporation, sponsored a licensed foster care home with animal therapy. In Colorado we served 30 girls and saw a third of them transition in career or university life. Although we resided in the Roaring Fork Valley of Carbondale, CO, we had significant amounts of funding come from out of state sources. RGD’s Executive Director saw the importance of
PRAYING FOR THESE NEEDS.
Please pray as we are in the middle of severe storms here, don't know yet if our building is flooded, as we are at home and cannot see the damage until in the morning. This is the most severe storms recorded in N. Louisiana.
Yes Happy Resurrection Day!
This is Dr Donna from Ranch Good Days.
Things are going full speed here as we are still moving along toward's getting a permanent home for our future teen Girls Ranch Academy. We are accumulating a waiting list of young ladies in need of a safe home to live and be educated.
Last week RGD was sold a building by Temple ISD to begin our school - it is (120' x 22').
But we have a hiccup - the purchase of the property we occupy. On this property, we are currently living in a pre-fabricated home with 4 bedrooms on 54.5 acres and the owner wants $270k for it. In March, some members of the Texas Girls Ranch Advisory Board thought we should not purchase this property because they were concerned about the price, however after a lot more research we are thinking the current property is better. We have two options (so I am told) either have another buyer purchase the property and sell it back for the Girls home, or raise $60K for ernest money needed by May 31. There is matching money to be applied for through a foundation. So this is my immediate concern and then the home and school should fall in place there after. Two gentlemen in the Texas youth academy field, one with 33 yrs experience and the other with 41 yrs experience (giants in our field) are looking into resources for helping me this week and to get the word out. God is in the lead on this plea of help and He has put it on my heart to get this word out.
Could you to please keep us in your prayers? Should you know anyone that may be interested in helping our ministry, could you pass along my contact information. It is really a blessing to do this meaningful volunteer work but now, in this critical hour, God has laid it on my heart to leave no stone unturned and ask for this help and now.
Thank you for reading this email and May God Bless you.
I am going through kind of a rough patch at work with some co workers not being very nice to me and my job may be in jepordy. Please pray for me, I will pray for everyone here too!
