Thank you, Dr. Spalding, E. Patrick, Michael and everyone for your uplifting and encouraging thoughts and prayers. I did go through a time of "why me, Lord? Here I am trying to do your service and all of these miserable things keep happening to me. None of it has been my fault or of my doing in anyway. I don't go looking for accidents, I detest casts (for fractures) and all of this "stuff" just gets in the way of the work you have called me to do. So why? What's up with all this?"

My pastor and several members of my church came out and we had a house blessing.  The accidents have continued and I wonder if my pastor has given up on me. He hasn't called me since my leg was broken at the fair earlier this month. I would think that since I can't get to church he would call me but he too has a heavy load. Two women whom I thought of as friends no longer have anything to do with me. I wonder if I did or said something wrong or if they feel the pervasive evil and avoid me for that reason.  Since God has seen fit to allow me to keep the horses I have begun to give lessons for free to any child that comes and wants to learn. If I were to charge it could compromise my meager disability pension anyway.  So, since the horses, tack and I are here, I open the doors to my barn to everyone. Abused women, secret alcoholics and people with all kinds of problems show up at my barn and all are welcome as long as they are clean, sober and don't jeopardize the children in any way. I have transitioned from being afraid and resentful of Satan to bold and defiant. Although I live alone I am never alone. God is always with me and His angels protect me. If God is with me, who can be against me? Maybe I should keep my mouth shut and stop saying'

"C'mon, Satan, give it your best shot because you can not prevail over the power of Jesus!"

So what if the minions get a swipe at me now and then! My former children who are now adults or nearly so come back every day to take care of the animals and help me in any way they can. They even bring their friends and put them to work! One girl who is scheduled for stomach banding surgery in October for obesity has been losing weight like crazy because she is cleaning stalls and working with my weanling colt. Come October she may not need the surgery if she keeps this up! Their courage gladens my heart. Sometimes they question me as to "why" but for the most part they are simply glad to be here and help. I can't pay them but I help them in any way I can. I ride my little scooter or the lawn tractor up to the arena and teach them how to become best friends with a horse. It seems to be enough. I do feel as if God is preparing me for something and I don't question it.  He did that in 1989 when my only child was hit by a gravel truck and lay in a coma for seven weeks.  The young man who would never see, hear, walk or talk is now a born again Christian, married with a child and two college degrees.  An angel was stationed beside his bed throughout his long ordeal.  The doors of Heaven opened wide to receive him but each time he was tempted to leave this world and go toward the light and warmth, Colin's angel stepped forth and said he must stay here. I had extracted a promise from my son before he slipped into a coma that he would not leave me here. His angel reminded him of his promise each time he rose from his cold hospital bed and moved toward the comfort of Heaven. Colin is someone who knows Jesus personally because they have met, face to face, in real life. While my son, disfigured beyond my recognition, lay deep in a coma, I lay on the chapel floor of the hospital and gave the rest of my life to Jesus in exchange for knowledge of God's will for me and the power to carry that out.  I know now that God had me in training. He still does. When the life support for Colin was discontinued he began to breathe on his own, even though he had no brain waves. The doctors put him on a ventilator, uncerta

Julie, God has a plan for you and is putting things in place for your victory! I quit drinking abusively in Feb. of 1999, and had to go thru all sorts of trials until Oct. 2010. I had alot of cleaning up to do. My deal is a lot different than yours. However I never gave up on God and He didn't give up on me. Hang in there His help is on the way. Many Blessings for your life and your ministry to others. Michael Gracy

For fifteen years I had over 70 foster children (seven at any given time) on my small horse farm. I knew every day that I was doing exactly what God wanted me to be doing. Through horsemanship, camping, structure, attending church (15 of my children were baptized here), prayer and especially God's loving guidance many children were healed of unspeakable abuse, neglect and abandonment. Many have gone on to live productive lives. Sadly, the minions of evil began to attack me in 2005. My husband recognized that we were fighting a losing battle financially and left. In 2007 I fell and broke my arm very badly. Since then I have had numerous serious accidents, broken bones, Lyme Disease and more. My health and bureaucracy (lack of assistance, apathy, DPW regs, finances, etc) forced the closure of the program in November 2009. My pastor says I tried to do something good and was attacked by the forces of evil. It has not stopped for one minute. Currently I have a broken leg (tibia and fibula) from tending the gate at the kids horse show. A horse hit the gate, the gate hit me and my foot was stuck underneath. Meanwhile I have lost my home and declared bankruptcy. God blessed me in that my barn is on a separate piece of property which I may be allowed to keep. I live in my barn loft, board and train a few horses.  Although, training is very limited right now. Friends and acquaintances make jokes that I must have a black cloud over my head but we, as Christians, know what is going on. I was hit head on by a driver going 100 mph last September and seriously injurred as well. I am not a coward and will not give up my faith or conviction at any price. Please pray for me to have knowledge of God's will for me and the power to carry that out. My sister is currently battling breast cancer and my best friend lung cancer. When I feel overwhelmed I fall to my knees at the foot of the cross and thank God for the most precious gift, His son, Jesus Christ. With the prayers of my fellow Christians I can not and will not be defeated.  Goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life.  God bless you all.

Prayer Request; My good friend Pastor Greg Deal of Bound in Glory Cowboy Church in Loveland, CO is in the hospital with blood clots in his lungs. He is ok, Praise God !They placed a filter in his stomach to stop the clots? He had surgery on his achilles tendon several weeks ago, and has been in a cast. When they removed it this week the clots went to his heart, and lungs. Please pray for this great man of God, and lift me up as well. I will be covering for him at the Thurs evening service this week.

As many of you know, we homeschool our daughter Megan. As a result we know several homeschool families, across the US. It seems that this year, the homeschool families have been under more spiritual attack than ever before. I humbly ask that you join me in taking a minute to remember these families, and the students.

Every time I think of you, I give thanks to my God. Whenever I pray, I make my requests for all of you with joy. Philippians 1:3-4
Be thankful in all circumstances, for this is God’s will for you who belong to Christ Jesus. 1 Thessalonians 5:18
One of the best ways to experience God is to notice and appreciate all the so-called little things around you. Often it is when you turn your focus outward that you see many things for which to be thankful. Instead of saying, “I wish,” try saying, “I’m thankful.” Cultivate an appreciative heart by giving thanks regularly, consistently, and spontaneously. Doing so helps to drive away thoughts of the disappointments that blind you to God’s gifts in the here and now. Every moment is an opportunity to see evidence of God’s provision and presence.
Give thanks to the Lord, for He is good! His faithful love endures forever. 1 Chronicles 16:34
It is good to give thanks to the Lord, to sing praises to the Most High. It is good to proclaim your unfailing love in the morning, your faithfulness in the evening. Psalm 92:1-2
Since everything God created is good, we should not reject any of it but receive it with thanks. 1 Timothy 4:4
During Thanksgiving, we focus on counting our many blessings and expressing our gratitude to God for them. But those expressions of thanks should be on our lips every day. We can never say thank-you enough to parents, friends, neighbors, leaders, coworkers, and especially to God. When you cultivate an attitude of thanksgiving as an integral part of your life, you will find your attitude toward life and toward God changing. You will become more positive, and contented, gracious, loving, and humble.
Let your roots grow down into him, and let your lives be built on him. Then your faith will grow strong in the truth you were taught, and you will overflow with thankfulness. Colossians 2:7

Just heard once again from my daughter that her father-in-law Jerry Thomas is still in CCU at St. Thomas in Nashville and still in critical condition. "All his family is with him now!" Saints of God please pray for God's intervention!" His wife Vivian really needs prayer as well as his children.

We are also praying for Bro. Tommy Mayo. "He is a wonderful man of God and works so hard helping out with different ministries!"  Let's all believe for all the requests here and for blessings on one another!"

This afternoon, I would like to ask for prayer for the wonderful people of Central TX. We have so many friends and loved ones in the Bastrop Texas area who have lost their homes this weekend. We also have another good friend, who may have lost his home in the Spicewood  fire. He will not be allowed back into the area where his home is / was until tomorrow. The not knowing is often more stressful than the knowing. Please pray for the wind to die down, as they are still having 30 mph winds, pray for rain, and for each family that has been harmed by these fires.
