"Peace I leave with you, My peace I give to you;  not as the world gives do I give to you.  Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid." ~John 14:27
As Christians, we have two great Spiritual Enemies: the "world", which is defined as all of mankind who live in sin and darkness, the unredeemed population of this planet and the Devil.  Jesus has told us that He has overcome both.  This means if we yield our hearts to the peace of Jesus through the Holy Spirit, neither the World nor Satan can trouble, worry, or scare us.  The peace of this world is a "false" peace because it is based on resources; money, positions of power, possessions.....STUFF!! We all know that "stuff" can easily come and go.  Therefore our "peace" in this world will also come and go. make sense??  But God's peace is based on our relationship with HIM!!  And He ain't goin' anywhere; He was, He is, and He always will be!!  That's why the greatest peace imaginable is the peace of intimate relationship with Jesus Christ.  It is the peace that will settle your mind, strengthen your will, and establish your heart forever!!  ~Pastor Lynn

Jesus knew He was going to the cross in just a few hours, yet He was comforting others.  He was promising to leave them HIS Peace.  It is the very same Peace that His Father gave to Him.  It is the Peace that kept Him calm as He faced hatred, betrayal, and death on the cross!!  It is the same Peace that will get us through the difficulties of this life. (John 14:27)  ~Pastor Lynn

NOTE: And ON the cross he forgave his killers, made sure his mom had a place to stay, and redeemed a criminal crucified aside him-who also accompanied him to Paradise. Now that's a busy day, folks!!  ~Michelle Berry-Gamino

Don't be afraid to be different.  God did not call you to be like everybody else or please anyone but HIM!!  He has chosen a path just for you and the closer you follow the leading of the Holy Spirit, the more He will develop your potential and the gifts He has already given you!! STOP trying to be a people pleaser and simply bless all those around you by allowing God to make you shine brightly in a dark world!!  Do this "so that you may become blameless and pure, children of God without fault in a crooked and depraved generation, in which you will shine like stars in the universe." (Philippians 2:15) ~Pastor Lynn

Some of you have probably already done your daily Bible reading for today and some of you may not even own a Bible, but you can Google "Luke chapter 15 and find what I'm gonna ask you to read tonight.  Luke 15 has three great stories that Jesus told; go ahead and read about all three, it's only 32 verses long so you won't be up all night.  The story I want to comment on is the third one about the ...prodigal son.  I love this story and I especially love verses 17-24.  This is where the errant son "came to himself"; in other words, he finally came to his senses and make a good decision.  He decided to return to his father and confess his sins.  There is someone out there tonight that needs to do this with their Heavenly Father..... tonight.....right now.  Don't put it off another moment; you may not have another chance.  Whoever you are, please come to you senses and come home; Your Heavenly Father Loves YOU!!!  I am praying for you right now!!!  ~Pastor Lynn

"The LORD bless you and keep you; the LORD make His face shine upon you, and be gracious to you; the LORD lift up His countenance upon you, and give you peace."  Numbers 6:24-26
Let's not forget today where our blessings and our security come from.  The Lord is so full of Grace; he is gracious to all of us even when we don't deserve it.  That's what Grace is: the unmerited favor of God!!  The Lord is as close to you as your own lips.  Ask Him to stay close to you today and give you HIS Peace.  Let the good times roll!!!  ~Pastor Lynn

Our 41st President, George H. W. Bush has shaved his head in support of Patrick, the two year old son of Jon, who is one of TWENTY-SIX Secret Service Agents assigned to Mr. Bush's security detail.  And all twenty six agents have shaved their heads as well in support of little Patrick who has leukemia.  I'm not sure how much 27 bald headed men are going to help little Patrick.  Now this is just my opinion, but I would rather have seen Mr. Bush and his entourage gathered around Patrick with their hands laid on him and their heads bowed.  Would all who read this please pray for Patrick......or would you rather shave your head??  Just as an afterthought, is our ex-president so disliked and in such dire need of protection that he needs over two dozen highly trained and highly PAID secret service agents to protect him??  I know two or three old boys from Cement that could do the job for a whole lot less money!!  ~Pastor Lynn

WASHINGTON—House lawmakers on Wednesday defeated an attempt to drastically curb a national-security program that collects the phone records of millions of Americans, after a tense debate on the balance between privacy rights and government efforts to find terrorists.
Better watch out what you say on the phone and on the internet.  Our government has already taken prayer out of our schools.  Looks like it won't be long before we get in a heap of trouble talkin' about Jesus on the phone or internet!!  I ain't no terrorist but they will find out real quick I'm a Christian...and thankful for it!!!  They probably won't like that very much, but I won't be surprised.  The world didn't like Jesus much either!!! ~Pastor Lynn
NOTE: We got'em beat no matter what they do!!  We can pray, worship, and listen to the Holy Spirit without makin' a sound......It's all in the heart and only God can go there!!  ~Pastor Lynn

I wonder how and why we have turned into a society that glorifies busyness??  Time has become a tyrant that controls us instead of us controlling our time!!  At some point we are going to have to stop believing in the lie that more is always better: more money, more stuff, more meetings, more programs, more ball games, more activities....It's no wonder we don't have time for God anymore!!  Jesus did not call us to ignore Him and place Him way down on the totem pole.  He wants us to be on a path that puts Him as our highest priority and our greatest JOY.  This path is largely unappreciated and often neglected in these busy times, but if you do chose this path you have certainly "chosen what is better..."  ~Pastor Lynn
"But only one thing is needed. Mary has chosen what is better, and it will not be taken from her." ~Luke 10:42

"Calgon, take me away!!"  Remember this commercial about the bubble bath that promised to whisk us away from all of pressures of the world??  Well there is something much better than Calgon and His name is JESUS!!  So put the world on hold, with its non-stop demands, and spend some time with Him.  Don't put Jesus on hold and think that you will someday focus on him when you get time.  The longer you push him away, the harder it's going to be to find Him when you need Him.  I can almost hear him calling you right now.... "Arise, come, my darling; my beautiful one, come with me." ~Song of Solomon 2:13

I have learned that if you live solely to make others rejoice in God, you will face challenges and take risks, but your joy will be full.  Life isn't about finding a way to keep from getting wounded; it's about finding a way to keep it from being wasted. ~Tim Anderson (Devotional Prayer Book II)
"Who is the man who desires life, and loves many days, that he may see good? Keep your tongue from evil, and your lips from speaking deceit.  Depart from evil and do good; seek peace and pursue it." ~Psalm 34:12-14

The rich should foot the bill for the poor to hear the Gospel. This is Divine social justice. Ponder and pray about it. God bless you. ~ REINHARD BONNKE
I just read this on the FB page of this famous evangelist.  He is right.  It does take money to operate a ministry, especially a large one like his.  I don't have the support of rich folks; most of my friends and church family struggle financially and don't have much or if any more than I do.  That's why you don't hear me talk about money very much.  I just want all of you to know how much I really appreciate your support and I know that you give what you can.  I don't ask people for money; I ask God for that, and He is faithful to answer; He sees to it that I have everything I need.  What I covet from you is your Love and Prayers!!  Please pray for the continued Spiritual and Physical growth of COWBOY COUNTRY CHURCH and ALL of God's churches and ministries. "But my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus." ~ Philippians 4:19

The Good Lord has made known to us the way we should go. How can we make up excuses for not staying on the right path when He has given us the Bible, the Holy Spirit, Preachers of the Word, each other, and even our circumstances?? I don't know about you, but I am thrilled to be filled with the Joy of His Presence and Thankful for the Promise and Hope of spending eternity with Him. Please stop putting on your make-up, put down your mop bucket, or your chain saw, or whatever it is you are doing this morning and take a moment, just a few minutes, to Pray and to GIVE HIM PRAISE!!! ~Pastor Lynn "You have made known to me the path of life, you will fill me with joy in your presence, with eternal pleasures at your right hand." ~Psalm 16:11

Psa 103:21 Praise the LORD, all you heavenly powers, you servants of his, who do his will!
Psa 103:22 Praise the LORD, all his creatures in all the places he rules. Praise the LORD, my soul! Praise the LORD, my soul!

There was a time when people, for some reason, got the wrong idea that God was a stern old man out to get us, who was just looking for a reason to punish us.  Truth is, God wouldn't have to look very hard to find a reason to punish most of us, but aren't you thankful that Jesus Christ came to show us what God is really like; Loving, Kind, Merciful, forgiving, patient, and full of Grace!! "O God, we meditate on your unfailing Love." ~Psalm 48:9  I am so thankful for God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Ghost!!!  ~Pastor Lynn

Do you remember how much fun it was when you were a kid, and your Daddy would give you a piggy-back ride?  Have you every laid out on the living room floor and had one of your own kids come and sit down right between your shoulder blades??  I'm not sure who enjoys these things the most; the daddy or the kid??  The Lord Loves you and He Loves it when you feel secure and rest in Him.  If you will only Trust Him, He will shield you all day long!!  How's that for security??  Take refuge today and rest between the huge and mighty shoulders of God!!  It's a mighty fine piggy-back ride!!  ~Pastor Lynn
"Let the beloved of the Lord rest secure in Him, for He shields him all day long, and the one the Lord loves rests between His shoulders."  ~Deuteronomy 33:12

Jesus Christ is the bread of life, He is living water, He is the way, and He is the Truth!!  Quiet time alone with Him, "soaking" in His Presence will energize your life, lighten your load, unscramble your thoughts, and make your day go a lot smoother.  We need to remember that our quiet time alone with the Lord is worth the struggle and the struggle comes in many forms; our own desire to lay up in bed, Satan always trying to distract us, Our desire to spend all of our time being "productive", and pressure from family and friends for your every waking moments.  We need to grow in our desire to please Jesus above all other things.  Psalm 37:4 says to "Delight yourself in the Lord and He will give you the desires of your heart".  If you take the time to delight yourself in Jesus, you will discover that the "desire of your heart" IS Jesus!!  ~Pastor Lynn
