Psalm 31:24~ "Be of good courage, and He shall strengthen your heart, all ye that hope in the Lord." Do you hope in the Lord this morning hour??  I certainly hope so because He is well worthy of your Trust.  God is not a "leaky vessel" that your hope will run out of and be wasted.  So how's your good courage this morning hour?  Are you a little fearful of doing the right thing today but you're gon...na go ahead and do it anyway!!!  That's good courage, and good for you!!  If you will supply that kind of courage it is certain that God will strengthen your heart, your very being to do His good will in every aspect of your life!!  Be blessed, and have a courageous and strong day in the Lord!!!  ~Pastor Lynn

"You, brethren, have been called to liberty; only do not use liberty as an opportunity for the flesh, but through love serve one another." ~Galatians 5:13 Oh, how we love to talk about our Christian liberty!!!  We have the RIGHT to be free, but somehow it becomes a problem when we are reminded by this scripture that we are free in order that we might SERVE others.  Serving others ain't quite as much fun as using our "liberty" do what WE want is it??  Yet the Bible teaches us that we are only liberated when we are willing to serve.  So today, feel free to invest in the lives of others as you serve them in the name of the Lord Jesus!!  No one has ever been beaten or criticized into the Kingdom of God.  Folks enter into the Kingdom of God because they were loved, ministered to, and served by someone just like YOU!!!   ~Pastor Lynn

I am so thankful for the anointing and the presence of the Holy Spirit!! I catch a lot of flack over my comments about how the donuts are fresh and the coffee is hot at COWBOY COUNTRY CHURCH; folks tease me and ask me if that's how we have built our church.  If we didn't have the presence of the Holy Spirit, it would take a lot more than donuts and coffee to keep it going!!  Not that there is anything wrong with donuts and coffee, but they are certainly no substitute for the Holy Spirit.  The Holy Spirit is what makes the difference between a social organization and a church;  it's what makes us a hospital for sinners, NOT a resort for the saints!!  Loving God, Loving each other, telling folks about Jesus....... and it's all Powered by the HOLY SPIRIT!!!!  GIVE HIM PRAISE!!! ~Pastor Lynn

Psa 4:3 Remember that the LORD has chosen the righteous for his own, and he hears me when I call to him.
Psa 4:4 Tremble with fear and stop sinning; think deeply about this, when you lie in silence on your beds.

It makes no difference if we have slid into some pit of addiction or if we are trying to climb a mountain of trouble, if we will just put our trust in God, He will make it all a level playing field. (See Isaiah 40:4) Isn't God just absolutely AWESOME!!!  ~Pastor Lynn

"A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another; as I have loved you, that you also love on another.  By this all will know that you are My disciples, if you have love for one another.  What's new about this commandment??  You can find it in the Old Testament, and this is not the first time Jesus told His men to Love one another (see Matthew 22:39)  What makes this a "new commandment" is that Jesus has now set the standard.  Not only are we to Love one another, but Love each other the way JESUS loves us.  That means unconditional Love.  That means not making others accountable for their actions to be loved while WE expect grace for ourselves.  I'm not saying we have to let folks run over us, I'm just saying folks behavior should not stop us from loving them.  tough love, maybe??  Jesus will be judged by the way you love others today, and you won't have to look very far to find opportunities will you??  ~Pastor Lynn

"This is what the Sovereign Lord, the Holy One of Israel, says: "In repentance and rest is your salvation, in quietness and trust is your strength......"  Isaiah 30:15 Just what is it that God wants us to do here??  He wants us to repent, which means to "turn ourselves around" and head towards God instead of away from Him.  To rest in your salvation is to "come unto Jesus".  (see Matthew 11:28).  ...Taking the time to sit quietly in the presence of the Lord is not wasting time.  On the contrary, you are releasing divine power to demolish the strongholds in your life!!  Your strength lies in those quiet times you spend Trusting in God.  You can choose to get busy and fight all your own battles that you can't win or you can unleash the power of God almighty simply by putting your time and Trust in Him.  ~Pastor Lynn

Psa 3:4 I call to the LORD for help, and from his sacred hill he answers me.
Psa 3:5 I lie down and sleep, and all night long the LORD protects me.
Psa 3:8 Victory comes from the LORD --- may he bless his people.

Is prayer really all that important??  You bet it is!!  Who suffers if we don't pray??  It is the very life of the Son of God in YOU that will suffer if you neglect to pray.  The life and Spirit of Jesus that lives in you is not nourished by food, but by prayer!!  "When you are "Born Again", the life of the Son of God is  born in you, and you can starve or nourish that life.  Prayer is the way that the life of God in us is nourished." ~Oswald Chambers.  Our common ideas regarding prayer are not found in the New Testament.  We make a big mistake when we look at prayer as a means of getting what WE want, when the real purpose of prayer is that we may get to know God Himself.  Have you nourished the Spirit that lives within you today??  ~Pastor Lynn

When you speak, speak in a godly way; speak the "oracles" of God.  If you will meet the needs of others in your ministry, do it with the abilities that God has given you.  Why?  So "that God in all things may be glorified through Jesus Christ , to whom be praise and dominion for ever and ever.  AMEN."  ~ 1 Peter 4:11 "For the time is come that judgment must begin at the House of God...." ~1 Peter ...4:17   The word judgment indicates a decision must be made.  It is time for the church to decide this question: Are we going to really serve God or are we going to stand before him as imposters??  This scripture also indicates that when the time comes for God to make His decision of who will have eternal life and who won't, He is going to start with......the church. Are we ready??  Come to COWBOY COUNTRY CHURCH for the early morning service at 9:00 a.m. to hear the rest of the story

"Let not mercy and truth forsake thee: bind them about they neck; write them upon the table of thine heart: So shalt thou find favour and good understanding in the sight of God and man. Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding.  In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths."  ~Proverbs 3:3-6 Why do you think that as a witness in a court of law you must take an oath to tell the truth, THE WHOLE TRUTH, and nothing BUT the truth??  Because lies and half-truths are ungodly and cause many problems and grief.  Same thing happens when we put our trust in our own understanding and leave out God's perfect understanding of all things.  Come to COWBOY COUNTRY CHURCH at 10:30 a.m. Sunday morning and hear the rest of the story.  ~Pastor Lynn

"The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom, and the knowledge of the Holy One is understanding.  For by me your days will be multiplied, and years of life will be added to you."

Folks who live foolishly do not generally live long or productive lives.  But wisdom??  Ah, wisdom is the key to not only a blessed life but a long one as well.  And the beginning of wisdom is respect and reverence for the Lord.  Then follows knowledge and understanding in that order.  If we will live according to God's wisdom, His knowledge, and His understanding you can be sure that "your days will be multiplied".  Live long and peaceful,  ~Pastor Lynn

Well, the holiday is over and it's time to put the old nose back to the grind stone and get back to work this morning.  Just remember that Jesus came that you can have life.  Not just any old life, but abundant life and also remember that the old thief doesn't come around to help you out; he comes only to steal, kill and destroy.  So don't let him have any kind of foothold in your life today.  Make sure you don't let the Devil steal your abundant life.  Make sure your heart is full and overflowing with Jesus' Love and Joy!!  This day will be exciting and meaningful if you stay focused on the Lord.  Put a spring in your step, a song of praise in your heart, and have peace in your soul no matter what your circumstances might be this day.  ~Pastor Lynn
"The thief does not come except to steal, and to kill, and to destroy.  I have come that they may have life and that they may have it more abundantly."  John 10:10

"Having been justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom also we have access by faith into his grace in which we stand, and rejoice in hope of the glory of God." ~Romans 5:1-2

What a great Scripture!!!  Being Justified by faith and receiving God's Peace solves all of our problems of the Past!!  Then by Faith we can stand by His Grace and have access to the Throne of God Almighty.  This will certainly solve all of our problems in the present!!  And then, through faith, we have the hope of the Glory of God.  This will certainly solve all of our future problems because it guarantees our spending eternity with the Lord in Heaven!!!  This "FAITH" stuff is very powerful.  I highly recommend you put some of it in Jesus then hang on!!!!  JESUS....He IS Lord!!!  ~Pastor Lynn

I have done something this past month that I haven't done in a long time.  I started to worry because I became aware of my own faults and weaknesses and I lost my focus on Jesus.  I started thinking about getting older and what would happen to my wife if something happened to me?  What would happen to COWBOY COUNTRY CHURCH??  Surely my wife would have to live in poverty and the church would just fold if I up and died!!!  How foolish!!!  I started thinking of ways that maybe I could make more money, maybe there was some way I could save more money, maybe I could get a huge life insurance policy (at my age?? right!!), maybe I should start looking for someone else to step in and take my place as pastor of the church??  And then all of a sudden, I realized how unhappy all these thoughts were making me and I couldn't do much about it anyway, and I remembered how happy I was when I came to Jesus and turned EVERYTHING completely over to Him.  The Lord has NEVER failed me and He never will.  He will also never fail my loved ones or His church either.  Thank God for Matthew 11:28!!!  Restfully yours, ~Pastor Lynn

"Come unto me, all ye that labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest." ~Matthew 11:28
The most important thing in your life is your relationship with Jesus Christ.  But many times this life "in Christ" is attacked from the outside when we allow the influence of our friends or circumstances to interfere with our focus on Jesus.  When we lose our focus on Jesus and start focusing on ourselves, that's when we start to struggle and live in turmoil.  Self-awareness, if allowed to continue will ALWAYS lead to self-pity and that is Satanic and destructive!!  Any thing that disturbs our rest in Jesus must be dealt with at once and you can't "fix" it by ignoring it.  The answer is simple....Come unto Him.  If you will come to Jesus, asking him to produce Christ-awareness in you, He will always do it, until we fully learn to live in Him.  I am praying Matthew 11:28 into your life.  May the Good Lord bless you richly today with His Peace and Rest.  ~Pastor Lynn
