JUST FOR TODAY: What would you do if you gave someone a wonderful gift and they didn't appreciate it or thank you for it? Chances are you probably would not give them much of anything else, right? Did you ever stop and think that God might feel the same way? That is why it is very important to be thankful for His Presence and His Peace. These are gifts of monumental and supernatural proportions that Jesus has blessed us with ever since His resurrection. Jesus said, "PEACE BE UNTO YOU" and "I AM WITH YOU ALWAYS", and He paid a very high price to give these promises to you. The best way to recieve these precious gifts is to thank Him for them....today!! ~Pastor Lynn

We are constantly seeking the hand of God, but for His Peace, we must seek His FACE! That is when the shining rays of His Peace that "passes all understanding" come into our lives. We will never have all the answers, but we can relax in the Presence of the one who does. Would you like to feel Peaceful and Complete today? Try leaning on the "the everlasing arms" of Jesus with Trusting dependence; He will never fail or forsake you. ~Pastor Lynn

Help us Lord, today, to see every circumstance, even the difficult ones, as an opportunity and not a hinderence to grow closer to you. You have told us that you would never allow more to be put on us than what we could stand. What Peace you give us knowing that we do not have to worry about ever reaching that breaking point. Thank you precious Lord for the increase in Strength that you give us to more than match any thing Satan throws at us today. In the name of Jesus.....Amen!!!

This standing around while folks are dieing and going to Hell has got to stop. It's time for a "crisis of believe" to cause people to take action and come to Christ and for those that have come to let the living water given to them flow out of them to others!! Pray about this....please......and don't let up. Get up this ...mornin' , be on fire for the Lord, go to church SOMEWHERE,.....PRAY!!!........AND WORSHIP!!! One person on fire for the Lord can cause a domino effect; YOU just might be the one person to crack the door open with your enthusiasm enough for the Holy Spirit to blow it wide open!!! God brings people, places, and circumstances into your life to accomplish specific purposes by the Spirit that lives in you! All things (people, places, and circumstances) work for good if you are a God Lover, and you are called according to HIS purpose (Romans 8:28). All "things" are to be taken in prayer to... the throne of God. Then what happens when we do this? Our prayers allow the Holy Spirit to interceed on the behalf of those "things" that we pray for and about (Romans 8:26). This means that God is going to touch every "thing" (person, place, and circumstance) in your life that you pray for and about. What if YOU don't pray? People that don't get prayed for live in Spiritual poverty and ruin; they die and go to Hell. Your prayers DO make a difference.....Let the Living Waters flow!! ~Pastor Lynn

The challenge is on!! Only 47 more days until the New Year. Let each and every believer pray for and lead at least one person to Christ before January 1st, 2012!! Jesus did not give you "Rivers of Living Waters" for you to let them lay around inside of you and get stag...nant!! Don't get in the way of the Holy Spirit or try to do His job for Him; take the lost to the Throne of God in PRAYER then watch as the Power of the Holy Spirit is unleashed to interceed for your lost friends, loved ones, and strangers!! I am so ashamed of the intensity and frequency of my own prayer life, and what really makes this bad is that prayer is part of my job description as a Pastor!! But... I have repented and asked the Lord to forgive me. I am asking the Lord to help me be much better at intercessory prayer and Spiritual warfare. I hope you don't mind, but I've ask for the Lord to help you in that area as well. LET'S ALL BENGE ON PRAYER AND LET THE LIVING WATERS FLOW!!! ~Pastor Lynn

Look at yourself today the way He does; glowing in His Righteousness and cleansed by His Blood! God looks at you the way that He created you to be and you will actually become that person when Heaven becomes your Home. No, you are not perfect right now, but the Holy Spirit within you is changing you "from glory to glory"; Better days are coming!! Rejoice today in the mysterious and amazing gift of Salvation. JUST FOR TODAY: Does God give you the same amount of strength everyday? Of course not. Each and every day has it own amount of difficulty, so why would God give you the same amount of Strength when some days you need less, and some days you need more. The amount of Strength that God gives you is based on two variables: the difficulty of your circumstances and just how willing you are to Trust Him and depend on Him for Help. God's Word Promises, "As your day, so shall your Strength be" ~Deuteronomy 35:25. This means that if the World gives you lot's of problems, God will give you lot's of STRENGTH!! Stand on that and GIVE HIM PRAISE!! ~Pastor Lynn

JUST FOR TODAY: We are all looking for something. Some of us are even trying to look into the future; searching and seeking to the point that it turns into that great tool of Satan....WORRY! Worry is a burden that God never intended for you to bear. Most of the things that we worry about never come to pass and even if they do, worrying is not going to change the outcome of the future one way or ...the other; so why worry? Of all worldly things and possesions that people all over the world seek after and worry about, God knows that we have need of these things. "BUT RATHER SEEK YE THE KINGDOM OF GOD; AND ALL THESE THINGS SHALL BE ADDED UNTO YOU. JUST FOR TODAY: Don't be devastated by difficult days; be stimulated!! Have confidence today that you and the Lord Jesus can handle anything together. He has helped you through hard times before hasn't He? Coping successfully with hard times depends on three things: Your relationship with Jesus, Promises in the Bible, and your experiences in the past when you have made it through hard times wit...h God's help. God never changes. If He has helped you before, He will do it again!! Remember that it is in His Presence that we live and move and have our being. FEAR NOT; FOR GOD IS WITH YOU: HE WILL STRENGTHEN YOU; YES, HE WILL HELP YOU; YES, HE WILL UPHOLD YOU WITH THE RIGHT HAND OF HIS RIGHTEOUSNESS!! God wants us to depend on Him and live in His Presence. We must learn to be satisfied with much or little and quit trying to grab and control everythin in our life. JUST FOR TODAY: Is something or someone oppressing you or causing you trouble today? If so, the Lord will be your refuge. The word refuge here means " a high place". The Lord Jesus is able to lift you up above the circumstances of your problems, but you must know Him and put your Trust in Him before He can help you get to that refuge. The Lord has not and never will forsake anyone that seeks Him. Please read Psalm 9:9-10 and 1st John 2:3-4. ~Pastor Lynn

JUST FOR TODAY: Do you feel weak today but yet you know you must have Strength to get through the day? You can always find the strength you need in the Lord, Jesus. Your yielded heart will draw His Power into your life like a magnet. Do not condemn yourself because you need help today. Instead, let His Power and the light of His Love fill your every need. Yield yourself to God's will and commit to an act of TRUST. Isaiah 30:15 tells us "In returning (to God) and rest shall ye be saved; in quiteness and confidence shall be your STRENGTH". ~Pastor Lynn

JUST FOR TONIGHT: You must be a very good listener in order to lead people to Jesus. You not only have to listen to the person you are trying to lead to Jesus, but you must also be listening to the Holy Spirit in order to respond correctly. If you respond with human reasoning, you might as well give people a dry bucket of sand. When the Holy Spirit empowers your listening AND speaking, you will be giving people the "living water" of the Lord Jesus, himself. Then, and only then, will we be a channel for His Love, His Joy, and His Peace to others. Thank you Holy Spirit for helping us lead 'em to Jesus!! ~Pastor Lynn

JUST FOR TODAY: Well, ain't this just dandy; somebody started off your day by saying something hurtful and treating you unfairly! Did you really expect to be treated fairly? In this life? You're dreaming. People will say and do hurtful things to you in this life; things that you don't deserve. So, what are you gonna do about it?? Get even?? NO!! Take a deep breath and calm down. This is just an opportunity God has given you to grow in Grace. Instead of trying to get even, why don't you see how fast you can forgive the one who hurt you? (oooh...that's hard ain't it!!) God's opinion of you is much more important than the person who is running you down. ~Pastor Lynn

JUST FOR TODAY: Since I have been in the ministry, I have learned not to make too many plans. The first phone call or message of the day may completely change all of my wonderfully made plans and they may fly right out the window. Don't get all bent out of shape when this happens to you. Just know that God has a different path for you to follow that day than the one YOU had planned. Your plans may have led you or someone else away from God; His will always lead you and those around you closer to Him. ~Pastor Lynn

JUST FOR TODAY: Are you stuck in a rut? You know, one of those people that say, "different day, same old stuff". What this usually means is that we are not Trusting in God like we should. We get so preoccupied with our future plans and decisions that we fail to make decisions we need to make TODAY!! Forget about tomorrow and pay attention to right now. God created you AND the whole universe. ... He is the most creative Being you will ever know. Get close to Him and He will never lead you down a boring path of routine!! Stay in communication with Him and follow His guiding Presence. There is nothing more exciting than a life shared with the Lord Jesus as your Saviour and Friend. ~Pastor Lynn

FROMTHE PASTOR'S PORCH: One Soul at a Time!!

   Manychurches in this day and age are not growing; worse than that, some
are even losing ground; they are shrinking and dieing. Why is that? The world today is not attracted to the Christ we serve because they are not seeing Him at work in our lives. They look at today's church and say, “oh, they do a few good things for the community, but that's not for me”. The world is turning away from the church because they don't want to get involved with what they see going on in most churches, or lack of what should be going on in our churches. Maybe we are just letting the world see US when we should be letting the world see and encounter GOD Himself through us.

     If our churches will let the world watch God at work, then He will attract people to Himself!! We must stop just talking the talk; we have got to start walking the walk!! When the world starts seeing the difference the living Christ makes in a single life, a single family, and a single church, then and only then will you start seeing people responding to the Gospel of Jesus Christ and showing up at your church. When the world starts seeing things happening in our Churches that can only be explained by the Presence of God Himself, that is when you will start seeing the church parking lots filling up. The world is not drawn to a church to see other people; we can see people anywhere. But the world WILL be drawn to the church where they see God in action through His people, not just the people by themselves.

    Jesus tells us to pray to the Lord of the Harvest to send more workers. If we truly want to see a move of God in our churches, it absolutely, positively MUST start with Prayer. If you will earnestly pray for God to send more workers for the Harvest, you will be absolutely amazed at what will happen. God will begin to engineer the circumstances of your life to where YOU will become that worker!! The growing, thriving church is not built on the personality of the preacher, or great music, or anything else that people are able to do by themselves. What matters is what GOD is able to do through YOU. A healthy, growing church is a God-Sized assignment for you that canonly be accomplished by God working through YOU!!!

    This coming Sunday morning, I am going to challenge every single person at COWBOY COUNTRY CHURCH to lead one person to the Lord Jesus between now and the first of the year. Just one person; one soul to Jesus. You know what they're gonna say?? Where are we gonna put them?? That would make our church grow to over 300 people!!! Well, that's what makes this a God-Sized challenge! We will just have to Trust God to provide a place to put them won't we? How about your Church? I want to make this same challenge to everyone reading this article. I don't care where you go to church, God wants to see God-Sized things happening in ALL of his churches. Is doubling the size of your church impossible?? Well...yes it is without God. But so was Moses crossing the Red Sea on dry land and getting water out of a rock. So was Joshua crossing the Jordan River in flood stage. So was Shadrack, Meshack, and Abednego surviving the fire of the furnace. So was going to all nations making disciples and baptizing them in the name of Jesus for the first followers of Chr
