JUST FOR TODAY: You know God could not answer our prayers if he didn't listen to them first. Oh, I know that God knows what we are going to say before we say it, but the point is that He listens before He takes action. How can we, as human beings, ever help others if we don't LISTEN to them?? Someone may need to talk to you today. If so, please don't think about what YOU'RE going to say while they are talking and keep interupting with "but you need to do this" or "if I were you, I would do that". Just for once, why don't we all try to be quiet and listen.....to others and the Holy Spirit. ~Pastor Lynn

JUST FOR TODAY: Psalms 46:1-3~ God is your Refuge and your Strength,..."an ever present Help in trouble. Therefore, you do not need to be afraid...." of ANYTHING!!! If you focus on the dangers and troubles in this life, you will always be afraid. Focus on the Refuge instead and through His Grace the fear in your life will be irradicated and replaced with Peace.
We run to God and put our Trust in Him when things are out of control and we are in deep trouble, but do we forget about God when things are running smoothly and think that WE are in control?? God is with you ALL the time and He rejoices when you put your Trust in him during the Good times and Bad. ~Pastor Lynn

JUST FOR TODAY: The closer you walk with the Lord, the more you will become your true self....the one that He designed you to be.
If you are concerned with how other people are treating you or what other people think about you, these are signs that you have lost your focus on Jesus Christ.
What is the gift from God that keeps on giving? Who else can cleanse your heart, renew your mind, heal your body, and give you eternal life? JESUS CHRIST!! ~Pastor Lynn

JUST FOR TODAY: Jesus said we must "...become as little children". (Matthew 18:3) When you have a situation in your life and the Holy Spirit tells you how to handle it, do you say "Yes, daddy" or do you say "I won't submit!". Don't hold God responsible for consequences that YOU produce when you Trust in YOUR abilities instead of HIS. God looks at this refusal as willful disobedience and He will hold YOU accountable for it. Your indepenence and self-will that your Pride calls strength, God calls it stubborn weakness! If you hold on to ruling your own life, you will lose it. Today would be a good time to start letting God be the Boss in your life. ~Pastor Lynn

JUST FOR TODAY: Well, Christmas has come and gone and now you are facing the coming of another New Year. Are you going to face the challenges and problems of this coming year with your own Strength? Big mistake. Didn't you try that in previous years and wound up either crying out to God for help, or just give up and turn away in bitterness? This year, try something that works much better. Walk close to Jesus and depend on his Strength and Trust Him in all your circumstances. You will not only experience more Peace, but you will accomplish more and do less. Some folks will think you're gettin' lazy, but what other people think of you is none of your business. Many more will be blessed by your Peacefulness. Walk in the light with Jesus, and let all the people around you see Him......through YOU!! ~Pastor Lynn

God Loves You....period!! Your unworthiness, your performance, your actions, even if you don't beleive in Him has no bearing whatsoever on the fact that He Loves You. Nothing in Heaven or Earth can change that because His Love is Pefect and unconditional; no strings attached. The ONLY thing that ever changes about God's Love is YOUR awareness of it. ~Pastor Lynn

JUST FOR TODAY: DO NOT overlook and neglect the unrivaled POWER and BEAUTY of the Holy Spirit and the Atonement of the blood of Christ!! Todays society trains, pumps iron, eats high protien diets, and visits the plastic surgeons because we lust to have powerful and beautiful physical bodies. We go to colleges and universities seeking B.S., M.S., and PhD degrees; we will stay up late studying and... reading to have a Powerful and Beautiful mind. We do all these physical and intellectual things while our Spiritual life is literally "going to Hell in a wheel barrow"!! When are we going to learn that our Spiritual life controls ALL the rest of it and that the most POWERFUL and BEAUTIFUL people in the world are the ones who have been cleansed by the blood of Jesus and His Holy Spirit is flowing through them to others. BELEIVE IT, RECEIVE IT, and LET IT FLOW!!! ~Pastor Lynn

Lord have mercy on me!! Please forgive me when I stray and start living in the flesh; let not my human intellect rule my life. How contemptable!! Lord help me to walk in the Spirit and return to the magnificent quietness of your Peace. Help me Lord to always be surrendered completely to you and put ALL of my Faith where it belongs...only in you Lord.....only in you. ~Pastor Lynn
"Have mercy on us, O Lord, have mercy on us! For we are exceedingly filled with contempt" ~Psalm 123:3
God’s plan for your life is unfolding before you. Sometimes the road you are traveling seems blocked, or it opens up so painfully slowly that you must hold yourself back. Then, when the time is right, the way before you suddenly clears—through no effort of your own. What you have longed for and worked for God presents to you freely, as pure gift. You feel awed by the ease with which our Heavenly Father operates in the world, and you glimpse His Power and His Glory.
Do not fear your weakness, for it is the stage on which God’s Power and Glory perform most brilliantly. As you persevere along the path God has prepared for you, depending on His strength to sustain you, expect to see miracles—and you will. Miracles are not always visible to the naked eye, but those who live by faith can see them clearly. Living by faith, rather than sight, enables you to see God’s Glory.

JUST FOR TODAY: Psalms 18:36~"You enlarged my path under me, so my feet did not slip". When God delivered you from sin, you were "filled with the Spirit" (Ephesians 5:18) and you began "walking in the light", it seemed like a lofty mountain top experience, but this place that you are living in is not a precarious position on a lofty mountain top where you are likely to fall. On the contrary, when you are in relationship with the Lord Jesus, there is security and plenty of room to live and grow. The most dangerous and unsure thing in the world is to try to live without God. ~Pastor Lynn
Just sharing....
I was saved in June of 1957. My sweet mother, concerned about my salvation sat down with me and went over God’s plan of salvation with an open Bible. I asked Jesus to become Lord of my life. He immediately became my Savior. Since that day I have been learning and growing as a follower of Jesus. I still have a great deal to learn but I am reminded daily of how much God loves and cares for me. I want to be obedient to Him. I have been and am an active member of a local church. I abstain from alcohol and tobacco. I believe in storehouse giving. I believe and practice the priesthood of the believer and regularly pray to God. My daily life may not always be perfect, but I know my caring Lord is there for me. I love my Lord, Jesus.

Be No Respecter of Persons
My daddy told me to be no respecter of persons. Here’s a good story that illustrates what he meant. One day, I was walking into my company’s office tower and I saw an elderly janitor cleaning the glass doors I was about to go through. He was doing so with such pride and care. I thought about what my father had told me about how if you wanted to be treated well and with respect, you had to treat others the same way. I stopped in front of this gentleman and stuck out my hand and introduced myself. I told him “I appreciate the way you keep the building that we work in looking so nice.” He beamed with pride and thanked me for my comment. The next day, I was walking into the building with my boss, the director of major accounts. The old gentlemen saw us coming, he stood tall, opened he door for me and said “Good morning Mr. Flegle, have a nice day!” When we got on the elevator, my director said “Darn! He’s never done anything like that for me.” I said to my director, “George, does he even know who you are? Have you ever spoken to him?” My director looked at me and said, “Point well taken.” I smiled quietly to myself as I remembered my father’s comments once more, “Son, be no respecter of persons.”

FROM THE PASTOR'S PORCH: Adjust your life to God's calling
When the Lord put it on my heart to start COWBOY COUNTRY CHURCH a little over seven years ago, I had more than a few concerns about obeying God in this endevor. At the time, I was a Praise and Worship Leader; I was not a preacher, and I certainly was not a Pastor. I not only didn't know anything about these things, I didn't even suspect what I was gettin' myself into!! I was sure that God knew what He was doin', but I just wasn't sure if I did.
I have discovered that the problem of obeying God did not lie in my lack of knowledge or experience. The problem lay in my willingness to make the necessary adjustments in my life in order to obey God in what He had called me to do. If you beleive that you are called by God to do something or that He is giving you an assignment, there is no way that you can go straight from beleiving God to obeying God without making major adjustments in your life.
When God puts a clear calling on your life, the mental decision that this is happening is easy. The hard part is making adjustments in your life to God and taking action that demonstrates your Faith. Like me, you may be called to do something that only God can accomplish! Before I started COWBOY COUNTRY CHURCH, I pretty much only attempted what I knew that I could accomplish on my own, but when God gives you a God Sized assignment, major adjusments in your life will be required.
Why is that? Luke 14:33 "Any of you who does not give up everthing he has cannot be my disciple." Will God really ask you to make such drastic adjustments in your life for him? The answer is absolutely YES!! God is interested in your absolute surrender to Him. If you won't surrender to him, you cannot be obedient and He cannot use you!!
God may not call you to start a church, but He will call you to serve him in some God sized project that may be way different from anything you ever dreamed. You may have to make adjustments in your circumstances, your relationships, your thinking, your commitments, your actions, and even what you beleive just to name a few. Just remember that God Loves you and His will for your life is always best!! Any adjustment God expects you to make is for your own good. If you will make the adjusments in your life to be obedient to God, it won't be long until you'll be singing, "I wouldn't take nothin' for my journey now!!". May God bless you richly, ~Pastor Lynn

QUESTION: "an eye for an eye" or "thou shalt not judge"; which way should I turn?? ANSWER: Always turn to God. Study his word and pray. There shouldn't be much of a conflict concerning the ways of man. The Bible says that Men have ways that seem right to them, but they all lead to destruction. Don't focus on the ways of man, stay focused on Jesus and just remember he called us to be wittnessess not judges. Our job is to Love God, Love each other, and tell every body about Jesus. If you turn to anything besides these things, you have been distracted by Satan and you must immediately get your focus back on Jesus. ~Pastor Lynn

Question: Why is it so hard to forgive and forget?? Answer: God doesn't say to forgive and forget; just forgive. The reason it's so hard is that we have to make an adjustment from man's way of thinking to God's way of thinking. This adjustment must take place before you can be obedient and forgive. Obedience cannot come before adjustments in our thinking and actions. God is looking for COMPLETE surrender to him of ALL our ways. God does not give YOU the Power to do this, but He does give it to the Holy Spirit that lives inside you. That's why walking in the Spirit makes life so much easier. ~Pastor Lynn

Proverbs 6:16-19 reveals seven things that God hates. These things are an abomination to the Lord so don't get caught having these things in your life. 1. A proud or haughty look. 2. a lying tongue. 3. hands that shed innocent blood. 4. A heart that thinks up wicked imaginations. 5. feet that are swift to run to mischief. 6. a false witness that speaks lies against other people. 7. sowing discord and stirring up trouble among friends, family, and in your church. Would the world be a better place if we all memorized these seven things and thought about them BEFORE we went into action and opened our mouths??? What do you think??? ~Pastor Lynn

All of your ways and all that you do are seen by the eyes of the Lord, and He is thinking about where you are going. ~Proverbs 5:21 This verse makes me tremble because sometimes I don't think much about where I'm going. If I did, maybe I wouldn't act the way I do sometimes; Something to think about...... ~Pastor Lynn

JUST FOR TODAY: Always use the right caliber of ammo!! You don't go bear huntin' with a .22 and you don't go squirrel huntin' with a 45/70. As workers for Christ, we must always be shootin' scriptures into the world to expose sin and lift up Jesus Christ as Savior. This does not always make us popular but we must pull the trigger anyway. It is none of your business what other people think about you. We must be willing to look at people the way God has looked at us. Then we must shoot the right caliber of scripture to drive home the truth, and never be afraid to pull the trigger!! The souls of other people are worth much more than their opinions of you. ~Pastor Lynn
