JUST FOR TODAY: Don't expect things out of people that only God can supply.  Sometimes we expect too much out of other people. We are only human and none of us are perfect, so don't be suprised when others are unable or unwilling to meet YOUR expectations of them.  It is best to place your expectations on God Almighty.  "My soul, wait thou only upon God; for my expectaion is from him.  He only is my rock and my salvation:  He is my defence; I shall not be moved. In God is my salvation and my glory: the rock of my strength, and my refuge, is in God."  (Psalm 62: 5-7)  May your greatest expectaions be met by the Love and Power of the Lord Jesus, ~Pastor Lynn

JUST FOR TODAY: Jesus shines His radiant Love down on all of us constantly, and His Presence in our life is what really makes life worth living. Since His Presence is always constant, why do we sometimes feel like it is missing in our life?  The Presence of the Lord Jesus is freely given but the problem lies in our reception of it.  There are only two things that block our vision of His Presence and that is lack of Thankfulness and Trust (Faith).  Be Thankful for His Presence and "Trust in Him at all times; Ye people, pour out your heart before Him: God is a refuge for us." (Psalm 63:5-8) May the Lord bless you richly with His radiant Love and Presence, ~Pastor Lynn

Lam 3:57  You drew near when I called out to you. You said, "Stop being afraid"
Lam 3:58  Lord, you have defended my cause; you have redeemed my life.

JUST FOR TODAY: "God in His mercy has led forth the people which He has redeemed (We didn't get where we are by our own strength).  God Almighty has guided them (and us) in HIS strength unto His Holy Habitation". (Exodus 15:13)  This is a beautiful Old Testiment scripture pertaining to God leading the Jewish people out of Eygpt into the promised land.  Today, His Holy Habitation lies in your own heart.  Open your heart to the Lord Jesus and let the Strength and Power of His Holy Spirit guide you home.  ~Pastor Lynn

JUST FOR TODAY: We all like to show people our "stuff"; come look at my new truck!!  Come look at my new bass boat!!  Come look at my new.........(fill in the blank)!!  This may impress your friends and neighbors, but I'm not real sure it impresses God??  If you really want to make an eternal impression on folks and please God at the same time, show 'em your Faith in the Lord Jesus.  Can I get a witness!!!!  ~Pastor Lynn

JUST FOR TODAY: It is a well known fact that you cannot please God without Faith.  So use your Faith today every chance you get.  One great way to use your Faith is to believe in God's goodness.  Even if things are not going all that well for you today, use your Faith to "see the goodnes of the Lord" coming your way.  Now you just have to wait a little while until it comes to pass; be of good courage and the Lord will "strengthen your heart; wait, I say, on the Lord".  It is always a "good" day when the Lord is pleased and your heart is strengthened.  May the Lord richly bless you today.  (Psalm 27:13-14)  ~Pastor Lynn

Psa 93:1  The LORD is king. He is clothed with majesty and strength. The earth is set firmly in place and cannot be moved.
Psa 93:2  Your throne, O LORD, has been firm from the beginning, and you existed before time began.
Psa 93:3  The ocean depths raise their voice, O LORD; they raise their voice and roar.
Psa 93:4  The LORD rules supreme in heaven, greater than the roar of the ocean, more powerful than the waves of the sea.
Psa 93:5  Your laws are eternal, LORD, and your Temple is holy indeed, forever and ever.

JUST FOR TODAY: Are you content to be a simple sheep, listening for the voice of your shepherd?  "The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want. He maketh me to lie down in green pastures: He leadeth me beside the still waters.  He restoreth my soul: He leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for His name's sake."  The Lord Jesus is the best, kindest, and most Loving leader you could ever have; be very careful not to fall into the trap of following anything or anyone else but Him.  (Psalm 23:1-3)  ~Pastor Lynn

JUST FOR TODAY: "Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, which according to His abundant mercy hath "begotten us again" (born us again) unto a "LIVELY HOPE" (hope that is ALIVE) by the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, to an inheritance incorruptable ( not capable of dying), and undefiled ( never damaged), and that fadeth not away ( always present), reserved in Heaven for YOU ( your place is held and waiting just for you), Who are kept by the POWER of God through FAITH unto SALVATION ready to be revealed in the last time." (1 Peter 1:3-5)  This is a description of REAL Salvation; not fake, not counterfiet, not "play like", and certainly not temporary.  Real Salvation is ETERNAL SALVATION and can never be "lost".  How could you lose something that is powered by God Almighty through REAL Faith??  You can believe what you want to, but as far as I'm concerned, nothing is EVER going to separate me from the Love of my Lord. (Romans 8:38-39)  ~Pastor Lynn

JUST FOR TODAY: The Apostle Paul wrote in Philippians chapter two, "Fulfill ye my joy, that ye be like minded, having the same Love (Loving God and each other), being of one accord (having the same purpose; telling everybody about Jesus), of one mind (staying focused on the Lord Jesus)."  You cannot accomplish these goals through fighting or worthless self-satisfaction.  We will never lead anybody to the Lord by being High minded; honoring and admiring ourselves more than others.  (Philippians 2:2-3) ~Pastor Lynn

JUST FOR TODAY: It is of the Lord's Love and mercies that we are not consumed or destroyed, because his compassions never fail.  His Love and compassion, they are brand new every morning and we can depend on them because of His great Faithfullness.  Deep in our souls, we can say that the Lord is our portion, our everything..... because when you get right down to it, He is all that we really have.  If you believe this with all of your heart, then with complete Trust, put your Hope in Him.  May His Grace and Peace be mulitiplied unto you many times over. (Lamentations 3:22-24)  ~Pastor Lynn

JUST FOR TODAY: God is working in you this day that you should have the will (the desire or the "want to") and actually then do the things that please HIM!!  So when you feel an uncontrollable desire to do something good for someone today, don't worry about it, JUST DO IT!!  And the most important thing to remember about this whole process is this: DO EVERYTHING THAT YOU DO WITHOUT COMPLAINING AND WITH OUT ARGUEING!!  This is what makes you a blameless and Sincere child of God without rebuke, in the middle of a nation that has drifted far from God.  You can be a light unto the world today by being obedient to the Spirit and lifting up the Gospel of Christ!!  ( Philippians 2:13-16)  ~Pastor Lynn

Lam 3:22 The LORD's unfailing love and mercy still continue,
Lam 3:23 Fresh as the morning, as sure as the sunrise.
Lam 3:24 The LORD is all I have, and so in him I put my hope.

Psa 68:28  Show your power, O God, the power you have used on our behalf

Comment by Lynn D. Walker on November 15, 2012 at 10:35am
JUST FOR TODAY: When you are "obedient" to God in believing in His Son, Jesus, that is when Jesus becomes "Christ in you, the Hope of Glory".  This is sometimes hard to understand and comprehend, but the one who walks beside you, holding your hand, is the same one who now lives inside you!!  You and the Lord Jesus now have intimate bonds of Love in every fiber of your body.  The light of His Presence not only shines on you but inside you as well.  He is in you and you are in Him....and there is absolutely nothing, NOTHING in Heaven or earth that can separate you from Him!!  So go about your business today with confidence and may the Lords Grace and Peace be multiplied to you many times over!!  (Colossians 1:27, Romans 15:13 & Romans 8:38-39)  ~Pastor Lynn

JUST FOR TODAY: When you looked in the mirror today, what did you see? If your heart has turned to Jesus Christ, the veil that blinds your mind shall be lifted and you should be able to look at yourself the way God looks at you. You are radiant in HIS righteousness; you are cleansed from all sin by HIS precious Blood. God looks at you as the one He created you to be, and the one that you really will be when Heaven becomes your home. Where the Spirit of God is, there is LIBERTY and that Spirit that lives within you is changing you "from Glory to Glory". So take another look and Rejoice today and be Thankful for the miracle and the free gift of His Spirit within you!! (2 Corinthians 3:14,16-18) ~Pastor Lynn
