Spreading the love of Jesus...the Cowboy Way!

I agree too.  After my divorce I started praying because I felt like I had nothing to offer my child and grandchildren in the way of an inheritance.  God spoke to me and told me to start painting again.  So, after 20 years of putting my gift on the shelf I began oil painting.  I didn't even know if i could still do it.  After only one year I have my own business going, a website ( and am entering shows, doing pet portraits for people and my daughter, grandchildren friends and family are all amazed.  Some didn't even know that I had this gift because I let "life" get in the way of what God gave me.  Never again will I allow anything to stop the flow of God's precious gift to me.  Sometimes I'm amazed what he does through me.

The Bible says that the gifts and callings of God are without repentance. In other words, God does not change His mind about your gifts and talents, nor does He change His mind about what you were created to do. I salute you for moving into your purpose. God is so good. Congradulations on the business too. I pray that He will pour a double portion blessing upon what you are doing. Keep up the good work and thanks for sharing!

Thank you Pastor for your response.  I appreciate it and the FB friend request!  I look forward to getting to know more people on here.  I've been kinda busy but will make an effort to communicate more.

You are very welcome. God Bless you!

I Was Divorced And A Minister Told Me If You Have Been Divorced God, Can't Use You In The Ministry. I Showed People That He Can Use You. I Have Pastored 2 Churches In Pa. Been To Mexico Done Missionary Work There For Many Years. Also Recorded 4 Gospel Albums. And Married To My Beautiful Wife For 3 1?2 Years Now. And Love Jesus, With All My Heart. God Bless. Bro. Jerry Lockett

Oh my Jerry.  Sometimes folks can be so critical about others and not examine themselves.  Did they give you any scriptures for their reason for saying such a hurtful thing? I've been divorced, re-married and divorced again and remarried now for 20+ years. Opened a church that had been closed for 4 years with 8 in attendance on our first Sunday in 2010 and we are now ministering to 60 or more each week. and by the way we have a church full of folks who have been divorced and remarried that God is using in our ministry. God does not throw you away because of a divorce.  God help us to love one another without all this stuff about who He can and can not use.  Bless you my friend!
