Spreading the love of Jesus...the Cowboy Way!

I was just sitting here thinking about Christmas 1960. Two weeks before Christmas we drove from Tampa to Limestone to visit my grandparents. I was 12. Going to see my grandparents was special. Grandpa Flegle was my hero. That Saturday he took me to run his trot lines on Goose Pond (part of Horse Creek) We spent the whole day together. He taught me to bait the lines and later I learned how to clean catfish and soft shell turtle. We had so much fun. The day couldn't have been better. Three days later Grandpa died from a heart attack. I had bought a handkerchief for 10 cents to give him for Christmas. I had already wrapped it. It has been 51 years and I still have that wrapped little gift. And I still miss my Grandpa so much. He is buried in Oak Ridge Cemetery in Arcadia, Florida....More important he is kicking up gold dust in Heaven!!!!  Merry Christmas, Grandpa!!!!!!!!!!  Dr. Larry Flegle
