Spreading the love of Jesus...the Cowboy Way!

Phippians 2
Imitating Christ’s Humility

 1 Therefore if you have any encouragement from being united with Christ, if any comfort from his love, if any common sharing in the Spirit, if any tenderness and compassion, 2 then make my joy complete by being like-minded, having the same love, being one in spirit and of one mind. 3 Do nothing out of selfish ambition or vain conceit. Rather, in humility value others above yourselves, 4not looking to your own interests but each of you to the interests of the others.

 5 In your relationships with one another, have the same mindset as Christ Jesus:

 6 Who, being in very nature[a] God,
   did not consider equality with God something to be used to his own advantage;
7 rather, he made himself nothing
   by taking the very nature[b] of a servant,
   being made in human likeness.
8 And being found in appearance as a man,
   he humbled himself
   by becoming obedient to death—
      even death on a cross!

Easier said then done. It takes a willingness of complete surrender  of one's life. I takes abandonment of ego, pride. It takes the willingness to follow God at every level in life. It takes the ability to abandoned your goals and dreams. The willingness to suffer one's feelings in order to be for our Faith even to the point of Death.  Obedience for me has come at a cost , a price a surrender to Love, to put God, Others above everything else in Life. To serve the Lord with complete abandonment of my will. To be pruned to the point of bareness . With out health, with out money with out ego and pride. I thank you Jesus for all you have given me. It has cost me everything that stood in the way of seeing you be effective in me. I am blessed you have carried me through the times that I have needed you to help me see that all that matters is You.

"To be pruned to the point of bareness"......wow!!   Even so Lord Jesus, be it unto me accoriding to your word.   For we can do nothing in our own strength, without Him we can do nothing.

Rom 8:18   For I reckon that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us.
