This is Dolly. I'm going to post 4 videos of her learning to canter. If you watch all 4 you'll see her canter smoothing out. She's a gaited horse (Missouri Foxtrotter) that couldn't canter when I got her. It required patience but if I shoved her into it without groundwork and patience it would be a rough canter but through patience, work and consistency I'll eventually achieve a beautiful rocking horse canter. In these 4 videos you'll see her improving little by little. That's what reminds me of God. He doesn't expect perfection right away but works on us little by little with love and patience and as they say in the horse world, slow is fast because if you take your time you'll get a desirable finished product. God doesn't rush us. He takes his time turning us into a vessel that carries his presence. I'm taking my time turning her into a vessel that will carry me in a smooth collected canter. She's a joy to work with because she's willing. We must be willing to let God work in us.
