Spreading the love of Jesus...the Cowboy Way!

It sneaks up real fast

A lie that I make

It like a bite from a Rattler

It’s a poison, I take.

I focus on things

That , I should not allow

Like money

Or the things

The cash will allow

You see its all fake

It will soon fall apart

Because in a drought

God shows you, your heart.

A wicked thing true

That lies within

It harbors small lies

It helps us to sin

It sets up a temple

I like to call self

It tells me to worship

At somewhere else

Like a horse

Like a ranch

Like a dollar or anything.

My temples have names

That the poisoning brings.

I have no true friends

I have left them behind

 You can say this poison

Is a making me blind?

And when the quake comes

And it all falls down

Cause I put this temple,

on bad ground.

So, I thank you my God

For Helping me see.

These temples I have built

That tends to blind me.

And please keep my mind

The only temple I should know

The temple Of “Jesus”

Is where this Cowboy, should go.
