Dan 7:25  And he shall speak great words against the most High, and shall wear out the saints of the most High, and think to change times and laws: and they shall be given into his hand until a time and times and the dividing of time

For thousands of years after Adam, mankind lived a natural life in the earth, his flesh being, pretty much, the "big dog" trying to run the show.   Since the fall of Adam and Eve most men had not known much of the Spirit of God and the mysteries of His will for His mankind and His creation.  This history of spiritual and cultural darkness is documented.  The wickedness of man and the resulting evil fruit without Gods direct, personal, governing hand in their lives is chronicled, beginning in Genesis and goes on.      (continue reading)
