It was great on several occasions for me to have been able to ride a bull in the same arena and time these guys were riding their bulls.  I never got to talk to Tuff or Cody as they were always busy about their stuff.  Lane though was very friendly and personable with everyone and knew no strangers.  I was able to talk to him at length many times and did meet his mom Elsie.  It hurt everyone when Lane died.  I felt like my best friend was gone!  Many years later I was contacted to come to one of Lane's mom's memorial remembrance services she was doing across the country in honor of Lane.  I was asked to play the song "Lane's Theme" on the piano outside under a huge tent.  The crowd was mainly country folk and cowboys.  After I played i looked over and noticed Lane's mom was crying which got everyone to tearing up.  Lane's mom and dad signed a big picture of Lane and a cowboy bible which they gave to me.  I had Lane's picture framed and it hangs in my room.  I do miss the old days but now my greatest honor in life these days is not the bull riding or meeting a celebrity.  It's the honor I have in knowing Jesus Christ as my Lord and Savior.  That because He died on the cross for us, I will have an eternal life with Him in heaven!  Praise God for His Son's sacrifice for us!  There isn't a gift given to us more special that this!.....JP
