Every time I think of you, I give thanks to my God. Whenever I pray, I make my requests for all of you with joy. Philippians 1:3-4
Be thankful in all circumstances, for this is God’s will for you who belong to Christ Jesus. 1 Thessalonians 5:18
One of the best ways to experience God is to notice and appreciate all the so-called little things around you. Often it is when you turn your focus outward that you see many things for which to be thankful. Instead of saying, “I wish,” try saying, “I’m thankful.” Cultivate an appreciative heart by giving thanks regularly, consistently, and spontaneously. Doing so helps to drive away thoughts of the disappointments that blind you to God’s gifts in the here and now. Every moment is an opportunity to see evidence of God’s provision and presence.
Give thanks to the Lord, for He is good! His faithful love endures forever. 1 Chronicles 16:34
It is good to give thanks to the Lord, to sing praises to the Most High. It is good to proclaim your unfailing love in the morning, your faithfulness in the evening. Psalm 92:1-2
Since everything God created is good, we should not reject any of it but receive it with thanks. 1 Timothy 4:4
During Thanksgiving, we focus on counting our many blessings and expressing our gratitude to God for them. But those expressions of thanks should be on our lips every day. We can never say thank-you enough to parents, friends, neighbors, leaders, coworkers, and especially to God. When you cultivate an attitude of thanksgiving as an integral part of your life, you will find your attitude toward life and toward God changing. You will become more positive, and contented, gracious, loving, and humble.
Let your roots grow down into him, and let your lives be built on him. Then your faith will grow strong in the truth you were taught, and you will overflow with thankfulness. Colossians 2:7
