LET'S SIT-A-SPELL "He had to go through Samaria on the way, and around noon as He approached the village of Sychar, He came to Jacob's Well, located on the parcel of ground Jacob gave to his son Joseph. Jesus was tired from the long walk in the hot sun and sat wearily beside the well. Soon a Samaritan woman cam to draw water..." (John 43:4-7, Living Bible) As we travel the trails our ministries lead us down, from time to time we too will need to stop and sit-a-spell. When we do, we need to recognize when God is working even in our "down" times to further His kingdom. When Jesus stopped for a rest by the well, God sent the woman of Samaria, and John chapter 4 goes on to reveal how that one rest stop the Lord took by that well, and that lone encounter with a woman who was likely a social outcast, changed the lives of many people that day. "Many from the Samaritan village believe He was the Messiah because of the woman's report." (John 4:39, Living Bible) May we be reminded as we travel the ministry trails He leads us down, that He also works in and through us, even when we sit-a-spell

You may not "like" the topic today, but I think we all need to take a good hard look at our WALK. When you see the word "WALK" in the Bible, it is an action verb that means how you actively live your life. Do you "walk" the talk or is it all just talk?? Ephesians 2:2 tells us that "in times past we "walked" according to the course of this world". That is past tense and means we shouldn't be walking that "course" any longer. Now look at verse 10. "For we are His (God's) workmanship created in Christ Jesus unto good works.....that we should "walk" in them. Please read the book of Ephesians, it's only six short chapters, and underline the word "walk" each time you see it. How many times did you find it??? Blessings, ~Pastor Lynn

"The answer was romance, adventure, the call of the unknown, the unconquerable spirit of man to roam, to seek, to find, and never to yield."           --Zane Grey

"The hero alone has this privilege, that death for him is not defeat, and the lamenting over him and the memory is part of the good he aimed for; and the moment of battle fears nothing from the future because it has already cast security away."          --C.S. Lewis

Okay, the little fun yesterday is over, it is time again to set the jaws and to look the day in the face.  I trust that you have set some plans for the day--at work, at home, and maybe part of completely a goal for the year.  However, depending on the situations and challenges that may arise these might have to be put aside or on hold. The enemy may attack, are you on the alert and are you prepared should it happen?

In a sense, life is uncertain.  We may have plans, but part of the reality of life are the things that may happen.  A storm rises; it is not in our plans, but are we ready and able to meet the situation?  The lightning flashes and the thunder rolls.  Does it bring fear or the exhilaration of the challenge of life?  In this aspect we should be able to say that life is certain, for no matter what happens in the storm, our God is the source of our strength and security.  We are not to yield to the challenges that come our way.  When the battle rages we are to stand, and continue to stand meeting the foe with the help of the Lord.

The Sioux and Cheyenne had a saying, "It is a good day to die."  This did not mean they looked forward to death, but that they would face the battle with the might of their training and courage.  It is the same as Paul; he was a fighter and he understood that in the fight he may die, and that would be a good day for him.  In fact this epitaph was "I have fought a good fight."

Far too often we seek security and comfort rather than the rages of war.  If the trail we are walking comes to a ravine or river, we often just stop and settle there rather than looking and seeking for a way to cross.  Sure it may cause hardship and suffering, but should we rest in what is thought to be security by settling on this side of the river?  Should we settle for the rear echelon when the battle is raging in front of us, just over the horizon?

Where does our security rest?  "But as for me, give me liberty or give me death." (Patrick Henry)  "But as for me and my house we will serve the Lord."  (Joshua)  2014 - the unknown is ahead.  It may be a peaceful walk through the green pastures, and even if it is in the midst of battle the Lord is the one who gives peace.  Is it security we desire or the will of the Lord?  Only by doing His will do we have true security.  The words of Jesus comes to my mind, "in my Father's house are many mansions, and I go to prepare a place for you."  There is the security we have and it is for all eternity.

Paul writes in verse three of 1st Thessalonians, chapter one about the work of Faith, the labor of Love, and the patience of Hope. These three things require work, therefore, they should accomplish something. What they accomplish is revealed in verse nine: the work of Faith is accomplished when you turn to God and away from idols; the labor of Love is accomplished when you turn to serve the living and true God; and the patience of Hope causes you to wait for His Son from heaven, whom He raised from the dead, even Jesus, which delivered us from the wrath to come. Faith, Love, and Hope are what prepare you and make you ready for the rapture: JESUS IS COMING BACK.....SOON!!!! Rejoicing, ~Pastor Lynn

Be strong and courageous today!! That's not an option suggested by the preacher, that's a commandment from God Himself!! Strength and
Courage will come in abundance when you realize it comes to you by your Faith in God. "So do not be terrified; do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go." God will never leave you nor forsake you and He will be with you just like He was old Moses!! ( See Joshua 1:5,9)

"Come unto me, all you who are weary and heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for you souls. For my yoke is easy and my burden is light." Matthew 11:28

It is the Peace of God that protects your heart and your mind from the evil of this world. And this Peace comes to you in the form of Christ Jesus. He is the Prince of Peace and without Jesus there is no real peace. This is a God thing and way above our ability to understand it so it just has to be believed in Faith because God's Word says so. Faith is what allows Christ to be formed in us when we receive Him in Faith. So this much we can understand; if we don't receive Jesus we will certainly not receive any lasting Peace either. (see Philippians 4:7) Blessings, ~Pastor Lynn

Your FAITH in God and His Son, Jesus Christ is the most valuable possession you will ever have!! Continue to grow and establish your Faith and it will comfort you as well as those around you. Never allow your circumstances or the circumstances of others to adversely affect or damage your Faith. Faith allows God to give you an increase and abundance of Love for fellow believers and ALL men. And most of all....Faith fixes heart trouble; it makes your heart blameless and Holy before God and makes you ready!!! Ready for what?? For the coming of our Lord, Jesus Christ, with all of His Saints!!! (See Thessalonians, chapter three) Faith is the only thing that can prepare you for this glorious event; Jesus is coming back!!! God does not explain things to us all the time. He explains things to us as we are able to understand them. God cannot explain the mysteries of heaven and earth to an immature child. Grow up: Pray more, study His Word more, and be still more to know that He is God!! It is truly wonderful to look up to great Christian examples and listen to their knowledge and the revelations that God has given them, but God requires that you examine your own life, give it all to him, and receive your own revelations as you mature and conform to His purpose. It is a slow process, but stay focused on the Lord, examine yourself, and in due time He will explain all things to you. "When they were alone, He (Jesus) explained all things....." ~Mark 4:34

God has shown me many things over the years. Most of them didn't have much effect on my life at the time because I wasn't paying attention, or I was apathetic, or I was downright rebellious!! You will have a much more Joyful and Peaceful life if you will not make the same mistakes that I did. Be listening, be willing, and most of all be obedient!! Take time to be alone with the Lord. "When they were ALONE, He explained all things to His disciples." ~Mark 4:34 I thank the Lord every day for His Mercy, Grace, and patience. Many Blessings, ~Pastor Lynn

Are you ready to "go out" today like old Abraham? Not knowing where you are going but fully Trusting in the Lord that He has a great day already planned out just for YOU!! Listen to the Holy Spirit today and let him guide you through the gift of this wonderful day. Pray about it, watch what you say, do, and where you go, and be thankful. Remember, you will never have another day just like this one so make the most of it!! "This is the day that the Lord has made; let us rejoice and be glad in it." ~ Psalm 118:24 Jesus is coming back!!! ~Pastor Lynn

God is so full of Glory and Goodness and He has a good word for you today!! "Devote yourself to prayer, being watchful, and thankful" ~ Colossians 4:2. These little three things will help us to "Participate in the divine nature and escape death" caused by our own evil desires. Prayer: give all concerns for yourself and others to God; pour out your heart in all honesty to Him!! Be watchful: Keep an eye out for others and do not grow tired of doing good; also watch what you say, do, and where you go!! Be thankful: keep in mind that God answers prayer and that the answers are set in motion long before you may see results. If you think about your request before the answer becomes manifested in your life, be thankful the answer is on the way....and so is JESUS!! Being obedient to these three things will keep you focused on God's Presence and His Promises for your life!!! Blessings, ~Pastor Lynn

"It is written, it is written, it is written". These were the words that Jesus used to do battle with Satan after His forty days in the dessert. He showed us by His example that the most powerful weapon we have as believers is the Word of God. John 1:1 says "In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God". How many books have you had in your lifetime that you have read over and over again? We might read a really good book a second time but after that it sits on our bookshelf and collects dust. Why is that? Becauase we feel that we have gotten everything we can from reading that book. Yet the Word of God, the bible, has no ending to the revelations and power that it contains for us. Every story in the Bible has a never ending meaning to it but will only be revealed to us as we open ourselves up to the Holy Spirit.  I have had people tell me that they have read the bible once and therefore feel they have all the knowledge of God they need. That's like saying I ate a meal once and now have all the energy and nutrients I need for this lifetime. As believers we need to study the Word of God on a daily basis and ask the Holy Spirit to give us continued revelation from our study of the bible. There is a large difference between reading the bible as opposed to studying the bible. My prayer for this new year is that God's people would receive a revelation of the power that is available to us in the Word of God. Every answer we need to life's problems can be found in the bible. The promises of God are still available to us today if we will only receive them in faith. But we can't know what God has  made available to us if we don't take the time to study His Word. Receive all that God has for you this year by going beyond just reading the bible and taking the time to STUDY the bible and live and walk in the power of God that is truly available to you. Don't settle for less than what God has made available for you. He wants you to have the best!!!  Blessings to all, Pastor Curt, Revelation Ranch Ministry.

MESSAGE OF THE MONTH:
"BE"
by Dr. Lynn Kirkland

Be... Be... BE...

Eph 6:10 Finally, be strong in the Lord, relying on his mighty strength.
Eph 6:11 Put on the whole armor of God so that you may be able to stand firm against the devil's strategies.
Eph 6:12 For our struggle is not against human opponents, but against rulers, authorities, cosmic powers in the darkness around us, and evil spiritual forces in the heavenly realm.
Eph 6:13 For this reason, take up the whole armor of God so that you may be able to take a stand whenever evil comes. And when you have done everything you could, you will be able to stand firm.
Eph 6:14 Stand firm, therefore, having fastened the belt of truth around your waist, and having put on the breastplate of righteousness,
Eph 6:15 and being firm-footed in the gospel of peace.
Eph 6:16 In addition to having clothed yourselves with these things, having taken up the shield of faith, with which you will be able to put out all the flaming arrows of the evil one,
Eph 6:17 also take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God.
Eph 6:18 Pray in the Spirit at all times with every kind of prayer and request. Likewise, be alert with your most diligent efforts and pray for all the saints.
Eph 6:19 Pray also for me, so that, when I begin to speak, the right words will come to me. Then I will boldly make known the secret of the gospel,
Eph 6:20 for whose sake I am an ambassador in chains, desiring to declare the gospel as boldly as I should.

Just as God declared to Moses from the burning bush, "I am that I am." Apostle Paul carries that same thinking through when he tells us to "BE".

God did not say I was that I was. Or, I'm gonna be --- if everything works out right. or even, I used to be. He said that I am that I am. Paul did not say for us to work hard and make certain commitments, spend time in prayer, attend worship services regularly, and oh, be sure to tithe. He simply told us to be.

How can we,who are so spiritually weak, just "be"? The answer is that we can't. but if we rely on His mighty strength we can. Then in verses 11 through 20 Paul takes us step by step through the process and tells us how to "BE".

If you would like more information on this subject, have a prayer request, or would like information on our ministry and how you can support it. Then send me a private message on facebook. I look forward to hearing from you.

In His grace...
Dr. Lynn Kirkland

God promises in His Word that He "inhabits the praise" of His people. This very simply means that God lives in the praise that you give Him. This puts you in a position to be very close to your creator, your protector, and the supplier of all good things. I don't know about you, but I Love and need the security of being close to God Almighty. GIVE HIM PRAISE!! (Psalm 22:3) Close to HIM, ~Pastor Lynn

God is not only always with you, he is always FOR you!! What do you have to say about that?!? The Bible says if God is for us, who can be against us?? (See Romans 8:31). It all boils down to this: If you have Jesus, then you have VICTORY!!! Be blessed, ~Pastor Lynn

When Jesus comes back and opens your "jar of clay", will He find a sweet jar of life "preserved" by the Holy Spirit or a rotten life decayed and destroyed by trying to live it without God??
"May your spirit, soul, and body be preserved blameless...." (1st Thessalonians 5:23).
Who does the "preserving" in this scripture?? The Holy Spirit is the only one who can reach into the deepest recesses of our being. There are motives and subconscious places that we cannot possibly reach on our own. Only the Holy Spirit of God Almighty can reach into those places and actually change them to be pleasing to Him. This is the way our spirit, soul, and body is "preserved" in pure uprightness and no longer condemned by God!! "Preserved" for how long?? For as long as it takes for Jesus to come back!!! Be ready and be Blessed, ~Pastor Lynn

I would like to "motivate" you today to do a few things; not many, just three things. I want you to change the way you talk; I want you to change the places where you go; and I want you to change the things that you do!!! OK?? But what's the motivation?? The motivation is the greatest Truth in the Christian belief: JESUS IS COMING BACK!!! What will you be saying, where will you be going, and what will you be doing when he comes!! Are you motivated yet?? Read 1st Thessalonians; it won't take long. It's only five short chapters, in fact read it over and over, but every chapter ends with the same theme; JESUS IS COMING BACK!!! I'll be seein' ya with Jesus, ~Pastor Lynn
P.S.~If you say you are "born again" and belong to Jesus, but the way you talk, the things you do, and the places you go are the same as they have always been, then you may know ABOUT Jesus but you don't know HIM!!! Could be a little prayerful inner-searching might be in order.

"When I am afraid, I will trust in You. In God, whose word I praise, in God I trust; I will not be afraid. What can mortal man do to me? ~Psalm 56:3-4
Notice the change of position concerning fear. The Psalmist starts our admitting, "when I am afraid", but that all changes to "I will not be afraid"!! Why? Because of Trust in God and Praising His Word!! How long has it been since you really Trusted God with your life, and read His Word and gave Him Praise for it??? If it has been a while or maybe never, could be that's the reason fear keep hangin' around your door. Apply the principles of this scripture to your life today with Faith and see a change in your life for the better.....backed up and guaranteed by the Holy Spirit!!! Thank you Jesus, ~Pastor Lynn
