Dear Ones,

Believers with spiritual discernment have the grace from God to see those people whom He is drawing to Himself and who have not yet received Him as their Savior. These pre-believers are moved to receiving Jesus as soon as the revelation of who He truly is takes place, not by embarrassment or being called derogatory names. The real Gospel is about, “How good God is”, not, “How bad people are”… “For all have sinned and come short of the glory of God.”

Thoughts About Our Eternity....

How many just live their lives daily for self and to self gratification thinking that all there is and will ever be is the here and now? We try so hard to surround ourselves with material things so that we feel an equal to or maybe a bit better than others in this world but what does that really do for you in life's long run? There's truly only one promise given to us that "is" something we can take with us for a lifetime, long after we're gone and our material goods have all been given away. The Word of God clearly tells us that if we believe in God and accept that His Son Jesus Christ died on the cross for us then we truly have way more than we have now! By verbally acknowledging that we know Christ as our Savior, we have set ourselves apart from this world plus we know once this human life is over we have an eternal life with God in Heaven. We all like to be winners! Through salvation we automatically win because we set up our eternal lifetime place with God. I have great peace and comfort in knowing that Hell is no longer my destination! This scripture rings out so true for all that will take it and apply it to their lives.

"For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believes in Him should not perish, but have eternal life." John 3:16

I'm new here, and I'd like to ask for some prayers. I got an invite to sing in Branson this Friday and Saturday. I got sick this past week and have lost my voice, or just barely talk. I'm stepping out on Faith and going regardless. Pray that I'll be able to sing. God Bless

On the ranch, we tried to send out our cowboys hands to search for God.  Actually we landed up with many of them who agreed to do that, but none of them left the ranch.  Seemed God resided right there where they worked and lived.

Jim said he found proof of God in the smile of his little sister Pearl who also worked on the ranch.  Joe heard God in the early mornin' call of a momma cow.  Buddy shook the hand of God when he forgave an old enemy for cheatin' him outta some money he'd loaned out.  John found God in the dirt as he hit his knees into it in prayer for his girlfriend that was sick.

These cowboys didn't find God in some fancy religious practice.  They found God in their hearts when they finally opened up their blind eyes.

"You will seek me and find me when you seed me with all your heart."  Jeremiah 20:13

One ol' waddie remarked, "It seems that a lot of people never realize how little water it takes to make good coffee."  That's the problem with the walk with a lot of folk; their walk with the Lord is just like weak coffee.  It is not robust or aromatic.  The cowboy didn't care much for "brown gargle," or coffee that tasted like it had been scalded to death.  Life is much that way, the Lord doesn't care much for those lives who are stale and lukewarm.      --Ira Paine (aka, D. "Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding". {Proverbs 3:5} Trust. It is such a small simple word yet a very huge word when it comes to really putting our faith in God and trusting that He has a plan for your life and He knows exactly what He is doing. Do you or have you ever had those times in your life when things just didn't make any sense and it is so hard to see any good in the things you are going through? Maybe you've had a door suddenly close that you really thought was opened by the grace of God. Maybe your marriage is on really unstable ground right now and you're just not sure what to do. Maybe you have family members who seem to be getting farther and farther away from the Lord. Maybe you're going through financial hardships and you just can't imagine a way out. The good news is we don't have to figure everything out on our own. God loves you so much and He does have a great plan for your life whether you can see it now or not. We walk by faith, not by sight. Put your faith and trust in God and His Word and I guarantee you WILL get beyond whatever it is your going through. He WILL lead you to greener pastures and help you find rest beside those still waters. (Psalm 23) We tell ourselves and others all the time that we do trust the Lord but how much do you really trust Him? Do you trust Him enough to give 10% of your income when you don't even have enough to pay the bills? Do you trust Him enough to let Him have control even when nothing makes sense? Do you trust Him enough to love others even when they seem so unlovable? My friends, God will never let you down or take you somewhere that will harm you. Let Him have control and He will lead you to a place that is way beyond what you could ever imagine or think. Just trust in Him. Not just a little but with ALL your heart. I pray for everyone today who is going through a trial right now that God will open the eyes of your understanding and that you will be able to just know in your spirit that God is with you and that you can truly trust Him to see you through and that He does have a wonderful plan for your life. HE IS RISEN

“For I delivered to you first of all that which I also received: that Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures, and that He was buried, and that He rose again the third day according to the Scriptures, and that He was seen by Cephas, then by the twelve. After that He was seen by over five hundred brethren at once…then last of all He was seen by me also…(1 Corinthians 15:3-8, NKJV)

This past Friday we remembered the sacrificial, atoning death of our Lord Jesus Christ on the cross to pay the penalty for our sins, and to reveal God’s incredible love for mankind. All who repent and surrender their lives to Jesus Christ will be forgiven and receive eternal life. Jesus said: “I am the resurrection and the life. He who believes in Me, though he may die, he shall live.” (John 11:25, NKJV)

There are many skeptics today who say that Jesus was at best a good moral teacher, at worst, a lunatic, who died a barbaric death on a roman cross, and that’s the end of the story. They deny the resurrection accounts in the Bible and renounce any hope of life beyond the grave; teaching that Jesus came to show us how to live good moral lives on earth, and to make this life the best we can for ourselves and others. The Apostle Paul addressed this issue in his day. “Now if Christ is preached that He has been raised from the dead, how do some among you say that there is no resurrection of the dead?...If in this life only we have hope in Christ, we are of all men the most pitiable” (1 Corinthians 15:12,19, NKJV)

Our opening text recounts the eye witness accounts of the resurrection of Jesus Christ. He was seen by over 500 witnesses. He was seen by Paul on the road to Damascus (Acts 9:3-8)  And He will be seen again one day as He comes in the clouds of glory (Revelation 1:7)

Paul writes: “But now Christ IS risen from the dead, and has become the first fruits of those who have fallen asleep…For as in Adam all die, even so in Christ all shall be made alive.” (1 Corinthians 15:20,22 NKJV)

JESUS CHRIST HAS RISEN. HE IS ALIVE AND STANDS AT THE RIGHT HAND OF GOD THE FATHER. AND ONE DAY—VERY SOON—JESUS WILL RETURN AND  “THE DEAD IN CHRIST WILL RISE FIRST, THEN WE WHO ARE ALIVE AND REMAIN SHALL BE ‘CAUGHT UP’ TOGETHER WITH THEM IN THE CLOUDS TO MEET THE LORD IN THE AIR. AND THUS WE SHALL ALWAYS BE WITH THE LORD.” (1 Thessalonians 4:16-17, NKJV)

WE SERVE A RISEN SAVIOR--JESUS CHRIST WHO WAS, AND IS, AND IS TO COME!

EVEN SO, COME LORD JESUS!

WHICH CRIMINAL WILL YOU BE?

“Then one of the criminals who were hanged blasphemed Him, saying, If You are the Christ, save Yourself and us. But the other, answering, rebuked him, saying, Do you not even fear God, seeing you are under the same condemnation? And we indeed justly, for we receive the due reward of our deeds; but this Man has done nothing wrong. Then he said to Jesus, Lord, remember me when You come into Your Kingdom. And Jesus said to him, Assuredly, I say to you, today you will be with Me in Paradise.” (Luke 23:39-43, NKJV)

Our text is a familiar story about the two men who were crucified with Jesus. We’re not told what their crimes were, but we do know that they were indeed criminals who deserved the punishment they were getting—the death penalty. In fact the one said: “we receive the due reward for our deeds.”  He know that he deserved the death penalty because of his crime. The other criminal may have known that too. But, instead of acknowledging that, he blasphemed Jesus and said: “If You are the Christ, save Yourself and us.” Two men, both criminals deserving of the death penalty, hanging on either side of Christ as he was dying on that cross. One of them mocked and rejected Christ; the other admitted he was guilty and deserving of death, and he confessed Jesus as Lord. “Lord, remember me when You come into Your Kingdom.”  And he received mercy and the promise of heaven.  Jesus said: “…today you will be with Me in Paradise.”

These two men are a stark picture of humanity. The Bible says  ‘all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God…there is no one righteous, not even one…the wages of sin is death.’ All of us are guilty of crimes against God and deserve the due reward of our deeds—eternal punishment in the Lake of Fire. All of us must look the Son of God in the eyes as He dies on that cross and choose which criminal WE will be. Will we mock and reject Christ and receive eternal separation from God? Or will we confess our crimes and acknowledge Jesus Christ as Lord, and spend eternity in Paradise?

As we approach Good Friday and remember Christ’s sacrifice on that cross for the sins of the world, the question remains: WHICH CRIMINAL WILL YOU BE?

It is strange that we as humans get things so backwards from the truth of God's way of thinking and His reality. Many times we forget what great and wonderful things God has for us in the future when God says what we should be forgetting is those things that are behind us. Straining to go back in time to right old wrongs is a waste of time and energy; spend your time and energy to move forward!!! God says that we should be straining for what lies ahead as Paul said in Philippians 3:13-14, "I press on toward the goal to win the prize for which God has called me heavenward in Christ Jesus." God will take care of all the mistakes that you made in the past. You need to just concentrate of serving Him TODAY!!! ~Pastor Lynn

“And I shall shew wonders in the heavens above, and signs in the earth beneath; blood, and fire, and vapour of smoke. The sun shall be turned into darkness, and the moon into blood, before that great and notable day of the Lord come.” (Acts 2:19-20, KJV)

Pastor John Hagee recently released a prophetic book called  “FOUR BLOOD MOONS”. In it Pastor Hagee reveals that NASA is predicting that there will be Four Blood Moons between April 15, 2014 and September of 2015. In the middle of the Four Blood Moons there will be a solar eclipse in March of 2015. The moon will appear to be blood as a result of a lunar eclipse. These events are significant because the “blood moons” or lunar eclipses will all occur on specific Jewish feast days. April 15, 2014 is the Feast of Passover, September—The Feast of Tabernacles, next April will be the Feast of Passover again, and in September 2015 will be the Feast of Tabernacles. These are also very significant because they will occur during a Jewish Sabbath year—2015. I highly recommend every believer get a copy of this book.

What do these things mean? God is getting ready to do something BIG. Our scripture is but one example of how God’s word tells us He will give us signs in the heavens when He is getting ready to shake the world.

I am not saying that the rapture of the church will occur during these 4 moons and solar eclipse. The Bible says no one knows the exact time except God the Father. The reality is, Jesus could come for His church at any time. But I do believe we are very close. Jesus said: “When you see these things begin to happen, look up, your redemption draweth nigh.” The occurrence of these blood moons and solar eclipse specifically during Jewish Feasts, specifically during a Sabbath year are bringing Biblical prophesy to life. Keep your eyes on the sky, your redemption is drawing nigh!

Recently, Hollywood released a movie about the life of NOAH. Although the movie may not necessarily be true to the Biblical account found in Genesis chapter 6-8, nevertheless, NOAH is in the news.

Jesus said in Matthew 24:37-39 “But as the days of Noe were, so shall also the coming of the Son of Man be. For as in the days that were before the flood they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noe entered into the ark. And knew not until the flood came, and took them all away; so shall also the coming of the Son of Man be.”

My wife and I were blessed last October to get to see the play NOAH, a production of the Sight and Sound Theatre in Lancaster, Pennsylvania. It was a wonderful telling of the story of NOAH—complete with incredible sets and even live animals; and the clear message of the gospel of salvation in Jesus Christ presented.

Jesus reveals that the days leading up to His return will be “…as the days of Noe…”  In Noah’s day people were living their lives out on the earth, marrying and giving in marriage, eating and drinking; in other words, caught up in the cares of the world, not looking to God or His plan and purpose for mankind. Genesis chapter 6 reveals that the people had turned away from God and sin was rampant. “And God saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth and that every imagination of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually…The earth was corrupt before God, and the earth was filled with violence. And God looked upon the earth and behold, it was corrupt; for all flesh had corrupted his way upon the earth.” (Genesis 6:5,11-12, KJV) Jesus said the days before His return will be “as the days of Noah.” I believe we are living in those days. Sin is rampant in the earth, and the people of the world—and tragically, so many in the church—are focussed on the cares and issues of life and are not looking to God and what He is about to do. And each day we move closer to the day when the Lord will return.

At the play about NOAH, the theater seats were in “the middle of the ark” with “rooms” all around us for the animals and NOAH and his family.  It reminded me of the beautiful words our Lord spoke in John chapter 14: “In My Father’s house are many mansions; if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and receive you to Myself; that where I am, there you may be also.” Jesus said that as in the days of NOAH will be the days of His return. In NOAH’s day God spared NOAH and his family from His wrath. And Jesus will take His church to be with Him before God’s wrath is poured out on the earth in the seven year tribulation period.

“But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night, in which the heavens will pass away with a great  noise and the elements will melt with fervent heat, both the earth and the works that are in it will be burned up. Therefore, since all these things will be dissolved, what manner of persons ought you to be in holy conduct and godliness, looking for and hastening the coming of the day of the Lord…” (2 Peter 3:10-12, NKJV)

Peter talks about the end of the age when the Lord will destroy the earth and the heavens as we know them and will create a “new heaven and a new earth where righteousness dwells” (2 Peter 3:13, NKJV) And in the midst of this prophetic text, Peter exhorts us to live a holy and godly life and to be “looking” for and “hastening” the coming of the Lord. The word “looking” in the Greek is prosdokao (pros-dok-ah-o) which means to anticipate in thought, hope, and fear; to expect. The word “hastening” in the Greek is speudo (spyoo-do) which means to urge on diligently and earnestly, to await eagerly. Peter is telling us to ANTICIPATE and EXPECT the return of the Lord, and to be URGING it on DILIGENTLY.

The Apostle Paul writes in 1 Corinthians 15:19: “If in this life only we have hope in Christ, we are of all men most miserable.” Yet so many in the church these days are bogged down with the cares of this world. Meg-church preachers are telling us to just “enjoy everyday life” and to seek “our best life now”; to not worry about the prophetic warnings and the return of the Lord for His church. Some teach that the church will be here forever and it will have to change to be part of the culture of the day; that it will have to change, and even discard, Biblical doctrine. Others teach that the believer is no better off than the rest of the world and we’re all going to experience God’s wrath and judgement before He puts and end to history.

SHAME ON THEM. SHAME ON THESE FALSE TEACHERS  WHO ARE NOT RIGHTLY DIVIDING THE WORD OF TRUTH. SHAME ON THOSE WHO ARE NOT EXHORTING THEIR PEOPLE TO WATCH AND PRAY AND TO BE READY FOR THE LORD’S RETURN. SHAME ON THOSE WHO SPEAK AGAINST PROPHETIC SCRIPTURE AND DENY THE GATHERING OF THE CHURCH TO BE WITH THE LORD!

“…scoffers will come in the last days, walking according to their own lusts, and saying, Where is the promise of His coming?” (2 Peter 3:3-4, NKJV)

“But you, brethren, are not in darkness, so that this Day should overtake you as a thief…therefore let us not sleep, as others do, but let us watch…For God did not appoint us to wrath…For the Lord Himself will descend from heaven…and the dead in Christ will rise first. Then we who are alive and remain shall be caught up in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air…comfort one another with these words.” (1 Thessalonians 4 and 5)

THE SPECIAL JOY

“…the Lord has given orders that those who preach the Gospel should be supported by those who accept it. YET I HAVE NEVER ASKED YOU FOR ONE PENNY. And I am not writing this to hint that I would like to start now. In fact, I would rather die of hunger than lose the satisfaction I get from preaching to you without charge. For just preaching the Gospel isn’t any special credit to me—I couldn’t keep from preaching if I wanted to. I would be utterly miserable. Woe unto me if I don’t. If I were volunteering my services of my own free will, then the Lord would give me a special reward; but that is not the situation, for God has picked me out and given me this sacred trust and I have no choice. Under this circumstance what is my pay? It is the special joy I get from preaching the Good News without expense to anyone, never demanding my rights.” (1 Corinthians 9:14-18, Living Bible)

Our text is a glimpse into the ministry of arguably the greatest contributor to the spread of the Gospel of Jesus Christ, the man chosen by God to bring the message of salvation in Jesus Christ to the Gentiles, the man the Lord used to plan, pastor, oversee, encourage, and expand the church throughout the world. First and second Corinthians were written to address and correct things that Paul knew were happening in the Corinthian church that should not have been allowed by the church. Paul also addressed the issue of support for preachers. He explains what the Scriptures teach about the laborer being worthy of his wages. But then he goes on to gently and lovingly reveal that he NEVER put money before the ministry. He knew he was called and commissioned by the Lord to preach the Gospel, to plant and shepherd and oversee churches. His heart was to preach the word of God without compromise. It NEVER was about money for Paul. Our text says: “Yet I have NEVER asked you for one penny. And I am not writing this to hint that I would like to start now.” As he was being criticized by the so-called spiritual leaders, money and payment for Paul’s services was made to be an issue. Yet, it NEVER was about money for Paul.

Paul’s experience with the church at Corinth is unfortunately still an issue today. It saddens me deeply that the preaching of God’s word is being manipulated, distorted, and even silenced over what is often misunderstanding over the issue of money. And those who God has called to preach His word are being silenced over an issue that NEVER should be allowed to stop God’s word from being preached and heard in the church. Oh that we would heed Paul’s words today in the church:

“Under this circumstance, what is my pay? It is the special joy I get from preaching the Good News without expense to anyone, NEVER demanding my rights.”

How many of us have sat in church during a church service and have felt such peace and joy being surrounded by people who love us and who share a commom love with us for Jesus Christ. Being able to talk openly and share our faith with like minded believers can just feel so good. It's times like these that really reminds us how important it is for us to belong to a church and be part of a church family. But what happens when we leave our church and have to go back and live in the world all week untill our next church service? Are you willing to openly share with the world all week that you are a Christian and a follower of Christ? Are you willing to risk being ridiculed or maybe even ostracized at your job because of your faith in God? Do people you meet know that you are a Christian simply by the way you act and the beliefs that you "live". Sometimes our best example of our faith can be through actions rather than words. Jesus said that if we would acknowledge Him before others He would acknowledge us to His father. It can sometimes be hard but yet we can be willing to stand for our beliefs when confronted with people we may not know or those that we consider friends. But what about when you have to make a choice between Jesus and your family? Are you willing to choose Jesus above them? Jesus tells us in Matthew 10:36 "that sometimes our greatest enemies will be those in our own families".  I myself have family members who have chosen to no longer associate with me because I am to "religious". It's not about being preachy or condeming, it's just that I have simply choosen to make Jesus the Lord of my life and not follow the ways of the world anymore. Is it easy? No, not at all. Do I have regrets on my part? No, I don't. The bible tells us that the things of God are nonsense to those who don't yet have the Spirit of God living in them. I pray that someday these family members will open their hearts and receive Christ in their lives but until then I will continue to live for Jesus and follow the convictions of my heart even if it means being seperated from them. Do I tell you this to brag? No, not at all. I just want you to know from someone who's been there that sometimes we do have to make tough choices when it comes to our relationship with Christ. My friends, remember that Jesus said He would never leave us or forsake us and that great would be our reward in heaven someday if we will be willing to live and stand up for HIm. I gaurantee you that you can never go wrong by following Jesus and standing up for your faith, no matter the cost. Remember. God loves you more then you could ever truly imagine and He will never give you more than you can bear. He just wants you to look to Him. Until next time, be blessed. “For when they say, Peace and safety! Then sudden destruction comes upon them, as labor pains upon a pregnant woman. And they shall not escape. But you, brethren, are not in darkness, so that this Day should overtake you as a thief.” (1 Thessalonians 5:3-4, NKJV)

The other day a visit from Israel’s Prime Minister with President Obama occurred. This was a planned meeting to discuss peace negotiations between Israel and the Palestinians, that was almost un-noticed. However, the news coverage did reveal that the peace negotiations are still an issue in the middle east. As reported by FOX News, President Obama had sent a strongly worded letter to Israel’s Prime Minister that INSISTED that Israel MUST compromise and do it soon, that a peace treaty MUST be entered into, even if it costs Israel more land and places them at the mercy of their enemies. MR. OBAMA, GOD GAVE ISRAEL THE LAND AS AN EVERLASTING COVENANT AND NEITHER YOU NOR ANYONE ELSE IN THE WORLD HAS THE RIGHT TO DEMAND THEY GIVE IT AWAY!

So-called “peace” negotiations involving God’s covenant people have been happening for many years, and they will continue. The Bible reveals a time in the future—I believe the NEAR future—when a peace treaty will be signed, but it will be a false peace. Daniel chapter 9 says: “A king will arise…this king will make a seven year treaty with the people, but after half that time he will break his pledge….” (Living Bible)

This king who Daniel speaks of will be the Antichrist. And he will arise in the last days as a great world leader who will deceive the nations of the world; and he will broker a peace treaty with Israel for seven years, but in the middle of those years he will break the treaty and set himself up as God in the Temple in Jerusalem. Our text says: “For when they say Peace and safety, then sudden destruction comes upon them…” The whole world, including Israel, will be deceived into a false peace, but after 3 ½ years the Antichrist will break that treaty and unleash horrible persecution against God’s people. These things are coming. One day in the very near future there will be a false peace treaty in Israel, and then the seven years of tribulation will begin.

Friends, God’s word is true; and the prophetic scriptures are rapidly coming to pass in our day. In our opening text, the Apostle Paul says: “you…are not in darkness, so that this Day should overtake you as a thief.” God’s word reveals God’s plan for the future, and the news of the day is increasingly and rapidly pointing to the fulfillment of prophecy, and the return of our Lord Jesus for His church. “Therefore let us not sleep, as others do, but let us watch and be sober…For God did not appoint us to wrath…”

FOOD FOR THOUGHT: On Mission Magazine reports in a Factoid intitled 'Religious Participation', "Though 7 out of 10 Americans identify themselves as Christians, their participation in activities associated with the church are on the decline. Of those surveyed, 33% have not attended a Christian church in the last year while 18% have not prayed in that same amount of time. Additionally, a large 57% have not read the Bible in the last week."
