Spreading the love of Jesus...the Cowboy Way!

I was looking at some notes I had and noticed the following quotation from a book by Louis L'Amour.  "It was very small--a man could cover that fire with his hat--but it was enough for coffee."  Set me to thinking of how important and soothing little, simple things can be.  I've spent more than twice around a fire like that, and, in fact, I still keep a coffeepot, some coffee, and a cup in the truck just in case of such an "emergency."  Now, don't get me wrong, I'm not always against the grandiose, but seems that everyone and everything is trying to get bigger (and better??).  Some of the best times with my wife have been around those small campfires.  Some of the best church services I've been to were with friends around such a fire.  Nothing big, nothing spectacular, just enjoying the presence of the Lord.  Maybe sometimes we should stop all the busyfying and be a little more simple and have time for the Lord.  Something small and simple like a little fire in the woods with just the family might be a good start.
