Spreading the love of Jesus...the Cowboy Way!

This is my wonderful horse Thunder! I just rode him for the first time this summer and fell off of him while he was running...needless to say I have gotten back on him, BUT I will this summer! So I hope I don't fall off again! lol

Cassey,

I started to ride when I was around 5 or 6 years old...I fell off, got thrown off, slid off, been kicked, bucked and bitten. But my love for horses never died. I always got right back on because of my love of riding. I never gave up nor left it frighten me. I have been around horses a lot through my life, riding and tending, but at 52 years old I just now became an owner of one. The hardest time to stay on is while they are running. I still get a little scared when my horse runs. He is a registered Thoroughbred, ex Trophy race horse. He was a rescue and in the past 7 months he has put on over 100 pounds after being neglected. He went from being real docile to thinking he is in a race again! Belive me..I have fear and respect when he runs because he has to be only the second fastest horse I have ever rode. I guess the main thing is teaching him to respect me as the boss and not letting him get his own way. As I was told they are very big animals, which is why the owner must be in control. Have faith Cassey..get all the advice you can from other riders and owners. Think positive..you will not fall off...Have a great day!
