Did you stumble and fall this week even though everything looked smooth and easy when you started out on your own??  This sort of thing happens when we leave the Holy Spirit out of the equation and start relying on our own strength and understanding.  When things look easy we are tempted to "go it alone" and this is when we are in the greatest danger of failure.   Ask the Holy Spirit to help you and guide you no matter how simple life looks on the surface; there can be great dangers hidden under a simple looking surface.  Remember deceit is one of Satan's greatest tools!!  Why take any chances by neglecting the awesome and glorious strength of the Holy Spirit that lives within you.  Victory and Success come "not by might nor by power, but by my Spirit", thus sayeth the Lord!!  (Zechariah 4:6)  ~Pastor Lynn

"But I trust in your unfailing love; my heart rejoices in your salvation."  ~Psalm 13:5  Love is such a wonderful thing; especially when it is unfailing and bestowed upon us by the creator of the universe!!  And the salvation of Jesus Christ is complete; it covers all areas of your life....Spiritual, Emotional, and Physical.  No matter how dark your situation seems to be this morning hour, the miracle of His salvation will take every negative in your life and turn it into a positive!!  Trust in the unfailing Love of Jesus and rejoice in the salvation that He has for you this day.  (See Romans 8:28)  ~Pastor Lynn

I have had one busy, frustrating, up and down, round and round day today!!  I am so tired and I don't really know why I'm sittin' here smiling!!!  Maybe it's because I didn't take everything that went wrong today too seriously.  Maybe it's because I know God has it all under control.  Maybe it's because 100 years from now I know that I won't remember any of this day and all of it's problems.  Maybe it's because of all the wonderful blessing God has bestowed on me by His Grace and I am Thankful.  What I really think is how can I not be full of joy when I have the presence of the Lord Jesus with me through all things....good or bad.  Keep smilin' folks...it drives the devil crazy and when everybody ask you why you're so happy.....you can tell them about Jesus!!!  ~Pastor Lynn

The arrogant and those full of pride say things like, " Today or tomorrow I'm gonna go here and yonder to this city or that city, I'm going to spend a year there,  carry on business and make a lot of money!!"  We need to be careful talking like this because we don't even know what's going to happen before sundown, let alone a year from now!!  How long is our life??  Only God can answer that.  We are just a mist that appears for a little while, then POOF!!!, we vanish!!  The Bible says what we should say is, "IF IT IS THE LORD'S WILL, WE WILL LIVE AND DO THIS OR THAT."  All the planning and all the worrying in the world about tomorrow will not help you as much as TRUSTING in the Lord today.  (See James 4:13-15)  ~Pastor Lynn

"Yet I hold this against you: You have forsaken your first love." ~Revelations 2:4 Who or what is your first Love?  Who or what is at the top of your list....or used to be before forsakenness set in??  Has the Lord Jesus Christ EVER been at the top of your list??  Jesus doesn't ask for a little bit of your life, He demands it all; first place only!!  To forsake means to leave behind or fall away.  Not a good thing to do to the King of Kings and Lord of Lords.  Might be a good time for all of us to reality check our relationship with Jesus.  Very plainly stated that He will hold us accountable for such behavior.  Maybe that's why you have become so weary and heavy burdened?  Come back to Jesus and make Him #1 again in your life and He will give your rest.  (see Matthew 11:28) ~Pastor Lynn

Have you ever woke up thinking about fleshly, worldly thoughts but yet trying to think Godly thoughts and ways at the same time??  The Bible calls that being double minded and it creates quiet a war within our souls.  Who wins??  Well ultimately, it depends on to whom you submit.  The scripture that covers this situation is this: "Therefore submit to God.  Resist the devil and he will flee from you.  Draw near to God and He will draw near to you.  Cleanse your hands, you sinners; and purify your hearts, you double-minded." ~James 4:7-8   Read through this a couple of times and meditate on it; you will find victory, singleness of mind, and a greater closeness to God. God's word is wonderful, true, and POWERFUL!!!  May you keep old Satan on the run and have a blessed day, ~Pastor Lynn

Make sure when you rise today that you do NOT put on the "old man" and the way you used to live.  Put on the "new" man, which is renewed in knowledge after the image of Jesus Christ, the one who created you.  Makes no difference what your race, color, education, financial or social standing may be for Christ is all, and in all.  So, as the Holy and Beloved elect of God, show the world the deepness of your mercy, kindness, humbleness of mind, meekness, and patience.  Overlook the faults of others today and forgive them just as Christ has forgiven you.  Above all make sure that your Love switch is in the "on" position and let the peace of God make the rules in your heart this day.  Oh, and one more thing.....be thankful!!! ~Pastor Lynn  (See Colossians 3:9-15)

Paul wrote, "So, as much as in me is, I am ready to preach the gospel to you......" Romans 1: 15
How much of the gospel of Christ is in you??  It makes no difference whether you know a whole lot or very little, you need to be ready and prepared to share it with others however much it may be.  The gospel is so powerful and simple it does not always take a huge dose of it to make a life changing difference in the life of those with whom you will share it.  Paul was not ashamed of the gospel of Christ because he knew that it was the "power of God unto salvation" to every one that believed it.  Believe it and share it today and forever!!  GIVE HIM PRAISE!!!  ~Pastor Lynn

".... be perfect, just as your Father in Heaven is perfect." ~Matthew 5:48 Jesus it letting us know that the object of the game is not in good-doing but in God-likeness.  When the Spirit of God has transformed you within, you will show divine characteristics in your life, not just good human characteristics.  God's life in you expresses its self just as that, GOD'S LIFE, and does not express itself as a human life trying to act Godly; that sort of life is living as an imposter!!  We all become "good" during intimate fellowship with God, but the example Jesus is giving us here is not of a "good" person or even a "good" Christian; it is an example of God Himself.  You CAN "be perfect, just as your Father in Heaven is perfect" only when the supernatural becomes natural in you as the result of the Grace of God.  God is not only the Great I Am, He is also the Great Enabler.  And God will give you plenty of real life opportunities to prove whether or not you are "the real deal"!!  ~Pastor Lynn

Be merciful this day.  God has been merciful to you and he loves when you are merciful to others.  This is more important than any formal ritual or sacrifice that you might take part in today.  Your future as well as the future of this nation will never be secured by power and wealth but by justice and good judgment.  Please pray for the Lord to bless our leaders with both.  ~Pastor Lynn  (See the book of Amos)

" Even though princes sit plotting against me, your servant will meditate on your statutes."  ~Psalm 119:23 How many of you need STRENGTH in your life this morning hour?  I know I do.  And this little verse tells us exactly how to have the strength that we need to get us through another day in this old trouble filled world.  DO NOT worry and waste your time and STRENGTH by contemplating what old ...Satan or anyone else is plotting against you.  It is not important what others think about you, even those in high places, but it is important what you are thinking and meditating on, and that should be the statutes of God.  God's statutes and Words are true and full of POWER.  The Power and Strength of God's promises are transferred to you only when you BELIEVE them and then focus, concentrate, and meditate on them.  Just remember who you serve today and God's promises for your life are more powerful than any amount of planning and plotting on the part of others!!  ~Pastor Lynn

"The Lord your God is with you, He is mighty to save. He will take great delight in you, He will quiet you with His Love, He will rejoice over you with singing" ~ Zephaniah 3:17
This scripture makes me smile. Can you even imagine God rejoicing over you and just breaking in to singing a song because He Loves you so much!!! I bet He sings better than Elvis, Merle Haggard, George Straight, Karil Walker and Pavarotti all rolled into one!!! lol!!! Thank you Lord for being so AWESOME; I LOVE YOU!!!!!!  ~Pastor Lynn

"In his heart a man plans his course, but the Lord determines his steps."  ~Proverbs 16:9
Don't get upset when doors close that you wanted to go through today and don't be afraid to step through new doors of opportunity that open for you.  God loves you and He is protecting you from unseen dangers and destruction when He closes certain doors and He is guiding you to great opportunities when He opens others.  Your heart may plan the course, but just remember that the Lord is your GPS!!!  ~Pastor Lynn

John 16:33 I have said these things to you, that in me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation. But take heart; I have overcome the world.” The key to this scripture is when Jesus said "that in me".  If you want to have peace in your life, if you want contentment in your life, you are going to have to get "in" Jesus.  That means you are going to have to STOP worrying and start TRUSTING in Jesus; you are going to have to stay FOCUSED on Jesus and start being OBEDIENT to "these things" that Jesus has said to you.  "These things" he said are all recorded in the Bible and preached all over this great nation every Sunday morning in some little church that's close to you.  The precious Words of Jesus are not hidden away for only a select few, they are readily available to you. So get into Jesus today and take heart!!  You may be facing hard times and trying circumstances but remember that Jesus has over come this World and nothing or no one can take the PEACE of Jesus away from you if you stay focused on HIM!!!  ~Pastor Lynn

2 Corinthians 4:16-18  ~"So we do not lose heart. Though our outer self is wasting away, our inner self is being renewed day by day. For this light momentary affliction is preparing for us an eternal weight of glory beyond all comparison,  as we look not to the things that are seen but to the things that are unseen. For the things that are seen are transient, but the things that are unseen are eternal." What a wonderful scripture!!!  Especially for all of us who are, shall we say, getting on up in years.  Personally, I am very thankful for my "inner self" being renewed day by day because my "outer self" is sure starting to show the strain of age and mileage.  I know for all you young "whipper snappers" out there this scripture may not mean that much to you now, but trust me, some day it will.  Take some good advise today and start right now renewing your inner self: Believe and Trust in Jesus, pray about all things without ceasing, and wash your mind in the Word of God.  Start while you are young looking to the unseen things that are eternal because the time will come when you are going to need that "inner" strength, joy, and peace that your once younger body can no longer supply.  ~Pastor Lynn

"For what shall it profit a man, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul?"  Mark 8:36 God designed you to have a personal relationship with Him, His Son, and to be led by the Holy Spirit.  This relationship does not take anything away from you as an individual person.  On the contrary, a personal relationship with Father, Son, and Holy Spirit is the only thing that makes you complete and fully yourself. If you try to live by your own strength and be independent of the Trinity, you will ALWAYS suffer feelings of emptiness and dissatisfaction no matter how much of the world you gain.  Do you really want to lose everything that really matters over what this old sinful world has to offer??  ~Pastor Lynn

Mark 5:36 ~ "Do not be afraid; only believe"  Jesus told this to a man that had just heard that his daughter had passed away.  So what is the bad news that you have heard tonight??  What is it that you are facing that is causing you to be afraid??  Stop it!!!  ONLY BELIEVE in Jesus!!!  He is not only the Great I Am, He is also the Great I WILL, and He is also the Great I DO!!!  Lift up your bad news to Jesus, ask Him to take away the fear, and tell Him you can't change this bad news or handle it on your own....please help!!!  I can "only believe" that the Power of Jesus Christ is working in your life right now!!!  Jesus will get you through whatever you are facing.  Thank you, Lord Jesus, for Loving me and all my friends; thank you for what you are doing in our lives tonight!!  AMEN and AMEN!!!  ~Pastor Lynn

"Be not wise in thine own eyes: fear the Lord, and depart from evil.  It shall be health to thy navel, and marrow to thy bones."

~Proverbs 3:7-8 In other words, don't look at yourself and think what a smart fellow you are!!  Instead, be reverent towards God and respect His wisdom on how you should live your life.  If anything you are contemplating does not line up with the wisdom and the will of God, it is evil; don't just drop it; get plumb away from it and stay away from it.  Hasn't life dealt you enough belly aches and broken bones??  ~Pastor Lynn
