"It is important to listen with all the senses, and to feel.  Awareness is a way of learning, too.  In these days to come you must be alive and aware to everything.  Let the days leave tracks upon your memory."  (Louis L'Amour)

Many are already fretting about the new year.  Worries and anxieties are taking hold, and while we should be aware of our surroundings and the events of the world they should not dominate our thoughts and actions.  We should never go out unaware or unprepared.

But, how much more should we be aware of the activity of the Holy Spirit!  What is He wanting to do in and with each life?  As we walk the trail laid our for us in 2014 we should be aware of our surroundings, but even much more aware of the working of the Spirit.

Have you prayed yet this morning hour? If not, STOP what ever it is you are doing right now and PRAY!! About what? ALL THINGS!!! When?? WITHOUT CEASING!! Always make time to spend with the Lord before you go charging into the matters of the day. You know what happens to those who wait on the Lord don't you?? God will give you new strength that you didn't even know that you had!! He will work in your life to give you more than you can possibly ask for or imagine!!! You will mount up and fly through this day, The fast pace of this world will not wear you down, and you will live your life in Victory and not fall or faint by the way side like others who try to live without God in their lives!!! GIVE HIM PRAISE THIS DAY!!! (See Ephesians 3:20-21 and also Isaiah 40:30-31) Pray, Love, Give, and Get'er Done!!!!! YeeeeeeeeHawwwwww!!!! ~Pastor Lynn

Spending time alone with the Lord is not a luxury. It is a necessity and it proves you have chosen "what is better" (see Luke 10:39) Be blessed in His Presence, ~Pastor Lynn

God does not speak to us in dreams and visions. When we come to God, it is by the most simple way-words. Jesus said "the words I speak to you are Spirit, and they are life" (John 6:63). We can hear them preached and read them in the bible, but we can't fully understand them without the Spirit of God shinning inside us. We must be born again for the Holy Spirit to teach us all things. Ask Jesus to come into your life today and get a real education......in His Word, Love, and Power!! ~Pastor Lynn

**********************************************

I was reading what Oswald Chambers said about Abraham this morning. "He went out, not knowing where he was going" (Hebrews 11:8). I have done that. I spent forty years not responding to God's gentler nudges, so He put a crises in my life that squeezed me hard enough that I had to make a decision. Then I started COWBOY COUNTRY CHURCH. I asked God what He was going to do? He did not tell me then and He does not tell me now, but He does show me who He is. Therefore, I have come to understand how unnecessary and disrespectful worry and fear are. I will continue to "go out" in Faith in order to please God because I know He is a miracle-working God. I must stop asking "why" and simply Trust Him to the point that I am not surprised at anything he does!! My prayer for you is that you will "go out" in Faith and let God show you who He is today. Many blessings, ~Pastor Lynn

I don't have to conquer the world!! Jesus has conquered it for me and deprived it of the power to harm me!!! No tribulation, trial, stress, or frustration can separate me from His perfect peace! (see John 16:33) Be blessed by the Peace of our Lord Jesus today, ~Pastor Lynn

Comment by Lynn D. Walker on January 2, 2014 at 12:45pm

I will never know what the will of God is for my life as long as I am conformed to the ways of the world and think like the world thinks. I must be transformed to the ways of the Kingdom of God by the renewing and cleansing of my mind. Only then can I test, approve of, and live the good, pleasing and perfect will of God. (See Romans 12:2) The best soap and water for the mind is a good dose of studying the Holy Bible daily and listening to someone who is anointed and knows how to preach it on Sunday morning!! How long has it been since you washed YOUR brain?? Most of us shower or bathe our physical body on a daily basis (if not, we need to talk) or we begin to stink. Your brain gets to stinkin', too; Ever hear of stinkin' thinkin' ?? Stinkin' thinkin' and "worldly thinking" are one in the same. Well, now you know what causes it and how to fix it!! Blessings, ~Pastor Lynn

If you could, would you enter into a relationship with, say, Bill Gates (wealthiest man on earth, measured by money) and give him all of your worldly possessions and in turn Bill would give you access to all of his assets?? No brainer, huh? Well, I hate to tell ya, but Bill ain't gonna make a deal like that with you. BUT, God will enter into a relationship just like that with you today!! You give your life, EVERTHING, including your Spirit, your Soul (mind, will, and emotions), and your physical body along with all your possessions to God and He in return will give you access to all that HE has. Now, even if Bill would make a deal like that with you, who do you think has the most to offer: Bill or God?? Ponder on that for a while and then.......
"Look to the lord and His strength; seek his face always." ~Psalm 105:4

Men do not make clay jars or metal pots and pans for them to be empty; they are made to be filled and used. God created us for the same reason. We are to be like "jars of clay" made to be filled with His Spirit and set aside for sacred use. "Sacred use" does not mean we are to walk around acting all pious or "goody-goody" but actually be used by God that His Love, Peace, Power, and Grace might be poured out to others. "This treasure" of the Holy Spirit which is forming Christ Himself in us if far more valuable than any external possession that we have on or around us. Bottom line is that it is more important what we have on the inside than what we have on the outside. (see 2nd Corinthians 4:7) Repent of your sins, ask God to forgive you and fill you with the Spirit of His Son, Jesus Christ!!! What a great way to start the new year!! Blessings, ~Pastor Lynn

"You shall not go out with haste,....for the Lord will go before you, and the God of Israel will be your rear guard" (Isaiah 52:12).
Are you ready to "go out" into 2014?? You better be because it is upon us!!! "But let us go out with the patient power of knowing that the God of Israel will go before us. Our yesterdays hold broken and irreversible things for us. It is true that we have lost opportunities that will never return, but God can transform this destructive anxiety into a constructive thoughtfulness for the future. Let the past rest, but let it rest in the sweet embrace of Christ. Leave the broken, irreversible past in His hands, and step out into the invincible future with Him." (Oswald Chambers). Let us all move forward this year and make sure we guard our hearts with Faith and Love, and protect our minds with the hope of salvation that has come to us by the power of the Holy Spirit with much assurance!! (see 1st Thessalonians 1:6, 5:8). HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!! May the Grace of our Lord bless you and be with you, ~Pastor Lynn

"Brethen, I do not count myself to have apprehended; but one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind and reaching forward to those things which are ahead." (Philippians 3:13) As we approach the start of a new year it is a time when many of us reflect on the year that has just gone by. Whatever trials or troubles you may have faced in this last year remember that we serve a God who makes all things new. With God, nothing is impossible. As you begin the new year keep your eyes straight ahead and your heart filled with faith and prepare yourself to receive all the wonderful blessings that God has in store for you in the days ahead. Don't dwell on what has been but think about what is to come instead. If God has placed certain dreams or visions in your heart then make a determined commitment that this is the year those things shall come to pass. Do you feel that God has called you to start a ministry, go on a missions trip, or take a radical step of faith with plans He has put on your heart? Then let this be the year that you put your faith and trust in Him and take that next step towards fulfilling the vision He has given you. Every journey begins with the first step but as believers remember the greatest thing we have going for us is that we never walk the journey alone. As Mary told the servants at the wedding in Cana, "just do as Jesus tells you" and then watch a miracle take place. My friends, as you look back on the year behind give thanks for the things that God has done for you, forget those things that the enemy has thrown at you, and prepare yourself for great things to come as you journey through the new year with Jesus. May you all have a very blessed and properous New Year and may you find a deeper intimatcy in your relationship with Jesus in the year ahead. God Bless, Pastor Curt, Revelation Ranch Miinistry.

Anything and everything that I put in front of God is an idol!! I must turn from that position and put God FIRST!! There is only one living and true God and I must serve Him with all of my resources; my time, my wallet, and with all of my heart!! That is if I want Him to deliver me from "the wrath to come". The wrath of God is coming to those who reject the Gospel of Jesus Christ and the punishment of Hell is very real. In fact, Jesus talked more about Hell than He did Heaven. Not to threaten people but to warn them because Jesus loved all of mankind and gave His life for all of us. Believe and be Saved today!! May the Holy Spirit be with you this day, ~Pastor Lynn

"For our gospel came not unto unto you in word only, but also in power, and in the Holy Ghost, and in much assurance..." (1st Thessalonians 1:5) The Gospel of Jesus Christ is not just a bunch of words to be taken lightly. The Gospel of Jesus Christ brings POWER into your life as "Christ is formed" in you by the HOLY GHOST and it gives you ASSURANCE for the future that you can find in no other possible way!!! The results?? You will be "turned to God from idols to serve the living and true God; And to wait for his Son from heaven, whom He raised from the dead, even Jesus, which delivered us from the wrath to come." (1st Thessalonians 1:9-10) Receive this word today as the Thessalonians did with "Joy of the Holy Ghost" (1:6)!!! May the Grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you, ~Pastor Lynn

A person is made of three parts: Spiritual, emotional, and physical. To be a joyous complete human we must understand that the Spiritual part of us must be healthy in order for our emotional and physical body to be complete and function the way God intended; not only in this life but for eternity. We will never be whole until "Christ is formed" in us. I pray the Lord Jesus will bless you with His presence today, ~Pastor Lynn

There are those who don't think they need Jesus and in the eyes of the world, many seem to do just fine. Don't be jealous or envy those folks because everything they do or accomplish on their own will fade, rot, rust, be stolen, lost or left behind when they die!! On the contrary, everything that you do and accomplish in relationship with Jesus Christ has not only eternal ramifications for you b...ut also for all those around you!! Let me ask you a question, would you rather have worldly riches for a mortal lifetime or would you rather have the spiritual riches of Jesus Christ right now and on into eternity?? Jesus told us that He was the vine and that we are the branches. Have you ever seen a branch do anything but wither and die apart from the vine?? What happens to those branches? They get ground up or chopped up and burned!!! If we will just stay with Jesus, He will most certainly stay with us and we will bear and produce much fruit that last forever!! Apart from Jesus we can do nothing of eternal value....nothing. (see John 15:5) Please feel free to share and bless others with this message. May God bless you richly today, ~Pastor Lynn

"...that holy One who is to be born will be called the Son of God" (Luke 1:35). Jesus was born into this world, but He was not from it. He did not emerge out of history, He made history by coming from the outside. Jesus is not the best human being the human race can boast of-He is a being that the human race can take no credit for at all!! He is not man becoming God, but God coming into human ...flesh from outside of it. His life is the highest and holiest entering through the most humble of doors. Our Lord's birth was an advent-the appearance of God in human form!! (Oswald Chambers). How about YOU?? Have you allowed your personal human life to become a "Bethlehem" for the Son of God?? Have you yielded yourself so completely to God that "Christ is formed" in you?? You cannot enter into the Kingdom of God without allowing Jesus to come from the outside into your life. God in the flesh became evident when Jesus was born, and many times over by human flesh being "born again"!! (see John 3:7) I pray that you are in that number. Blessings, ~Pastor Lynn

"We give thanks to God always for you all, making mention of you in our prayers; Remembering without ceasing your work of faith, and labour of love, and patience of hope in our Lord Jesus Christ, in the sight of God and our Father; Knowing, brethren beloved, your election of God." ~1st Thessalonians 1:2-4.  I second these words of prayers and thanks for both my church family at COWBOY COUNTRY CHURCH and all my beloved family of Christian friends on ICCAN. May God bless you richly, ~Pastor Lynn

It is safe to trust in God's Love because it is an undying and unfailing Love!! Allow yourself to rejoice this day in His salvation!! Mat 1:18 This was how the birth of Jesus Christ took place. His mother Mary was engaged to Joseph, but before they were married, she found out that she was going to have a baby by the Holy Spirit.
Mat 1:19 Joseph was a man who always did what was right, but he did not want to disgrace Mary publicly; so he made plans to break the engagement privately.
Mat 1:20 While he was thinking about this, an angel of the Lord appeared to him in a dream and said, "Joseph, descendant of David, do not be afraid to take Mary to be your wife. For it is by the Holy Spirit that she has conceived.
Mat 1:21 She will have a son, and you will name him Jesus---because he will save his people from their sins."

Isa 2:2 "It will come about in the last days that the mountain that is the LORD's Temple will be established as the highest of mountains, and will be raised above the hills; all the nations will stream to it.
Isa 2:3 Many groups of people will come, commenting, "Come! Let's go up to the Temple of the God of Jacob, that they may teach us his ways. Then let's walk in his paths."
Isa 2:4 He will judge between the nations, and will render verdicts for the benefit of many. "They will beat their swords into plowshares, and their spears into pruning hooks; nations will not raise swords against nations, and they will not learn warfare anymore.

As we prepare to celebrate the birth of our Saviour next week I am remembering all the excitement that was building up inside of me as a child growing up about this time of year. Life was busy preparing for the arrival of Christmas with programs at church as well as the school I attended. We sang all the favorite Christmas hymns at these programs( yes, even at the public schools!), the nativity scenes were displayed in front yards for all to see, trees were put up and decorated as everyone was preparing to celebrate the birth of Jesus. Now all these years later( yes, it's been a few since I was a child), I find myself wondering who is this Mr. X that the world is paying all this attention to?. As I was driving down the street the other day I saw a sign in a front yard that said "We need to keep Christ in Christmas". I applaud the people that live in that house. We now are told we celebrate "Happy Holidays" and are no longer allowed to sing those favorite Christmas hymns so that we don't offend anybody. Who are we offending? The relatives of Mr. X? Gone are the CHRISTmas programs from our schools and sadly even from some of our churches so that we can be "politically correct". So is this Mr. X a politician? Well, I am sorry Mr. X, but John 3:16 says that "God so loved the world that He sent His only begotten Son". Christmas is about celebrating the birth of our Saviour and it's about time that we as Christians make sure we remind the world the real meaning of this HOLYday. To the world I say if I offend you I am sorry but believe me, it is for your own good. If I am not politically correct, so be it , but I AM NOT celebrating Xmas, but am celebrating CHRISTmas and I am very proud to say so. As fellow believers let us join together and make sure the world knows the real meaning of this season. Let's make sure we keep Christ in Christmas. And if you run across Mr. X share the gospel with him. Who knows, maybe he will give his heart to the Lord and then we won't have to deal with all his nonsense next year!! God Bless everyone and their families here in the ICCAN family and may you all have a very Merry CHRISTMAS!!!! Pastor Curt, Revelation Ranch Ministry

This Story is Ridiculous

By Dr. Lynn Kirkland

By all human reasoning the whole story of creation, the Judeo-Christian religion, Jesus, Salvation – I could go on and on – is utterly ridiculous.

Let’s see.  A person is born (hmmm.  Think about that for just a second.  Is birth a medical mystery or supernatural marvel?  Man!  Just found a whole ‘nuther sermon!).   Any way.  Back to the subject at hand:  A person is born, lives, and dies. During the time he or she is living he or she must make a choice as to whether he might spend eternity in a Heaven that is supposed to be simply wonderful or eternity in a bottomless pit where they will burn forever and never burn up.  They make this choice by submitting their will to Jesus will.

Now, this Jesus fellow was born to a virgin (Whoa!  What happened to that medical mystery or supernatural marvel mentioned previously?  Now I am really confused!)  But, anyway, Jesus grew up and never did anything wrong.  His step-dad was a carpenter and in the tradtion of that time since he (Jesus) was the eldest son he took over the family business.  At some point from the time Jesus was 12 until he was 30 his step-dad died.  And Jesus lived a relatively obscure life as a carpenter from Nazareth.

It was about the time he turned 30 that Jesus just walked away from the prospering family business and began teaching a Bible study.  If they had cell phones back then it would have been what I like to call a “Flash-mob Church” – but that, then, is another sermon.

As Jesus was teaching the established church of his day didn’t  like what he had to say because if people began listening to Jesus they might lose their jobs.  So they plotted to kill him.

Eventually they framed him and got the Roman government to put him to death on a cross.  Now this is where it gets really good!  After 3 days he arose from the grave walked around on earth for a while, gave his disciples orders, and then went back to Heaven where He came from.  (What about that virgin birth?).

And now, because of what He did, I am supposed to submit my will to His and trust Him so that I can spend eternity in Heaven – which, by the way, nobody has ever seen or been to and come back to tell about it.

R I D I C U L O U S  !

O R ,  I S  I T  ?

I said in the beginning that this is “by all human reasoning”.  Just because we can’t explain it does that make it not so?  Hmmm, science did not really understand DNA until the mid 70’s yet God told Isaiah that He formed him in the womb and that He knew him in the womb.

So, how does this story go?

Isa 6:5  I said, "There is no hope for me! I am doomed because every word that passes my lips is sinful, and I live among a people whose every word is sinful. And yet, with my own eyes I have seen the King, the LORD Almighty."

Isa 6:6  Then one of the creatures flew down to me, carrying a burning coal that he had taken from the altar with a pair of tongs.

Isa 6:7  He touched my lips with the burning coal and said, "This has touched your lips, and now your guilt is gone, and your sins are forgiven."

Isa 6:8  Then I heard the Lord say, "Whom shall I send? Who will be our messenger?" I answered, "I will go! Send me!"

Isa 6:9  So he told me to go and give the people this message: "No matter how much you listen, you will not understand. No matter how much you look, you will not know what is happening."
