"Woe unto them that call evil good and good evil; that put darkness for light and light for darkness; that put bitter for sweet and sweet for bitter!" (Isaiah 5:20 KJV)
As we celebrate this Sunday the sacrifice that Christ made on the cross, let us search our own hearts in repentence for allowing our churches, communities and once great Christian nation to fall so far and turn away from God and His Holy Inerrant Word. This nation is certainly doing what the prophet Isaiah foretold. Not one Christian can truly deny that the above scripture is not happening now. So, what do we do about it (see Chronicles 7:14). This is what the church must do! Notice this verse says "If my people". Look at the news - in Indiana they are being persecuted for standing for religious freedom by those who do abominable things against our Lord. Our president and his administration is turning theirs backs on God's chosen Israel. God said that enemies of Israel will be His enemies.
The LGBT minority, Hollywood and the music industry (especially rap music) are dictating our culture and morals! They are teaching our children and grandchildren to turn away from God and His Holy Word! Where is the church? We are hiding in pews, behind closed doors with our eyes closed and hands over our ears so we will not have to deal with it. The only problem is - you and I will have to stand before an Almighty God and give account for what is happening not only in our individual lives, but in our churches, our communities and yes, our nation. What is happening today is on our watch.
I know this may offend some and it could cost me personally for saying this. But it must be said. We must get our head out of the sand and humble ourselves, repent and seek God and a fresh filling of the Holy Spirit for revival! This has been on my heart for sometime now. If you do not believe what I am saying and this offends you - then unfriend me. If you believe what I am saying to be true then share. Let us all go back to the foot of the Cross this Easter for a refreshing of Christ our Lord and Savior!
